About The Department • The Investment & Trade Operations team supports the integrity of Brandywine Global’s investment portfolios through daily cash and security reconciliations across global accounts. Team members work closely with Trading, Client Service, Trade Processing, custodians, fund accountants, and other stakeholders to resolve exceptions and maintain accurate portfolio records. Joining the team provides exposure to global investment operations, cross-functional collaboration, and opportunities to contribute to process improvement and operational excellence. How You Will Add Value • Coordinate daily cash reconciliations across investment portfolios. • Investigate and resolve reconciliation exceptions. • Prioritize and manage high-risk outstanding items. • Monitor cash flow communications for client accounts. • Record cash activity and adjustments accurately. • Work with custodians to correct discrepancies. • Perform portfolio and security position reconciliations. • Maintain operational controls and review processes. • Contribute to process documentation, cross-training initiatives, and operational resiliency efforts. • Support process improvements and efficiency initiatives. • Participate in special projects and perform other duties as assigned to support department objectives. • Collaborate with teams across Investment & Trade Operations, including Cash Management, Onboarding, and Product events, to resolve issues and support business objectives. Experience, Education & Certifications What will help you be successful in this role • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or a related field preferred. • 3 to 5 years of financial services experience preferred. • Experience with banks, brokerages, or investment managers preferred. • Knowledge of fund accounting is an advantage. Technical Skills • Strong analytical and numerical skills. • Knowledge of trade settlement and income accrual processes. • Familiarity with Foreign Exchange (FX) markets. • Understanding of traditional investments and derivatives. • Proficiency in Microsoft (MS) Office, especially Excel. • Ability to work effectively in a remote environment. • Ability to use required mobile and desktop applications. Soft Skills • Strong organizational and prioritization skills. • Effective written and verbal communication skills. • Collaborative approach and attention to detail.
