No matter where you are located, you will join a dedicated, creative, and diverse community that will help you discover your fullest potential. This is a high-impact leadership role for a Transition Managerwho is ready to shape the future of application transitions — combining deep delivery expertise with AI-powered innovation to redefine how complex global IT services are handed over, stabilized, and scaled. We are looking for a seasoned Application Transition Manager to lead end-to-end planning, solutioning, and execution of complex, multi-service managed services, application development, and support/maintenance transitions. This role sits at the intersection of delivery leadership, AI-powered modernization, and enterprise-scale program governance. The ideal candidate brings deep hands-on experience in transitioning large application development/support portfolios — including custom-built, packaged, and cloud-native applications — and is fluent in harnessing AI tools, automation, and intelligent accelerators to compress timelines, reduce risk, and elevate transition quality. You will operate as the single accountable owner across pre-sales solutioning and live execution, partnering closely with the client, delivery towers, and incumbent vendors to deliver a seamless transition to steady-state operations. Responsibilities • Independently design and own transition solutions for complex outsourcing pursuits across multi-vendor, multi-geo, multi-stack, multi-service (Apps, Infra, Security, Automation, Cloud) environments • Define transition strategy, milestone frameworks, resource models, and success KPIs for RFP/RFI/SOW responses and contract negotiations • Defend the proposed transition solutions and execution approaches to senior Client stakeholders / C-suite audiences (Orals) • Design AI-powered transition solutions using GenAI-based knowledge extraction, automated documentation generation, and intelligent codebase discovery to accelerate solutioning timelines • Leverage AI estimating models and effort prediction tools to build data-driven transition business cases and risk-adjusted transition plans during pre-sales • Lead transitions of 100+ applications spanning custom development, microservices, APIs, data platforms, ERP/CRM systems, and cloud-native workloads Manage all transition phases: Knowledge Acquisition Shadow Reverse Shadow Parallel Run Stabilization (Hypercare)- BAU Handover • Oversee structured code and architecture discovery activities — codebase walkthroughs, dependency mapping, tech-debt assessment, and environment cataloging • Ensure delivery of all transition artifacts: SOPs, Runbooks, Application Passports, Architecture Decision Records (ADRs), RACI matrices, and operational documentation • Manage Knowledge Acquisition sessions across development teams (onshore/offshore), ensuring structured capture of tribal knowledge, design rationale, and undocumented dependencies • Deploy AI-based code analysis tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, CodeScene, SonarQube AI) to accelerate codebase understanding, surface tech debt, and auto-generate inline documentation during Knowledge Acquisition • Use GenAI-powered documentation tools to auto-draft SOPs, Runbooks, and Application Passports from discovery sessions, reducing documentation effort by up to 40% • Apply AI-driven dependency mapping tools to visualize application interdependencies, integration touchpoints, and data flows across complex portfolios • Establish and chair Transition Governance Forums — weekly/bi-weekly SteerCos, RAID reviews, milestone checkpoint meetings, and executive reporting cadences • Maintain a real-time Transition Dashboard tracking milestones, knowledge transfer completion, risk status, team readiness scores, and go-live criteria • Drive RAID log management (Risks, Assumptions, Issues, Dependencies) and proactively resolve blockers impacting transition timelines • Manage 50+ active stakeholders — client executives, product owners, architects, vendor leads, and delivery managers — across multiple geographies • Use AI-powered project analytics tools and NLP-based status reporting to auto-generate executive dashboards and transition health summaries • Define and execute Go-Live Readiness Criteria encompassing access provisioning, monitoring setup, SLA framework validation, on-call rota, and escalation paths • Lead structured Hypercare operations post-go-live: stabilization sprints, defect triage, performance baselining, and SLA attainment tracking • Ensure tooling readiness: ITSM (ServiceNow), observability stack (Dynatrace, Splunk, Datadog), CMDB accuracy, and alerting configuration • Integrate AIOps capabilities (anomaly detection, predictive alerting) during Hypercare to proactively surface risks before they escalate to incidents • Use ML-based SLA prediction models to benchmark incoming team performance trajectories and forecast BAU stabilization timelines Requirements • 12–18 years of IT industry experience with significant tenure leading enterprise Application Transition programs • Minimum 8 years of hands-on experience transitioning Application Development portfolios within Managed Services or IT Outsourcing environments • Proven track record managing transitions of 200+ FTEs and 100+ applications across multi-geo delivery models • Hands-on exposure to AI tools and automation platforms used across the transition lifecycle (code analysis, documentation generation, test automation, AIOps) • Experience managing transitions in Agile, SAFe, Wat
