Requisition Id: 15792 Position Designation: Senior Consultant – Adult Haemato-Oncology & BMT Department: Adult Haemato-Oncology / Clinical Haematology & BMT Reports to: Head of Department Employment: Full-time / Permanent Location: Mazumdar Shaw Medical Centre\\. Key Clinical Responsibilities • Diagnose and manage adult patients with: • Acute myeloid and lymphoblastic leukaemias • Lymphomas • Multiple myeloma and plasma-cell disorders • Myelodysplastic and myeloproliferative neoplasms • Aplastic anaemia and bone-marrow failure syndromes • Other malignant and complex haematological disorders • Provide comprehensive inpatient, outpatient, day-care and emergency haemato-oncology services. • Develop individualized treatment plans incorporating chemotherapy, immunotherapy, targeted therapy and other contemporary treatment modalities. • Perform and/or supervise bone marrow aspiration and trephine biopsy, lumbar puncture and intrathecal chemotherapy where appropriate. • Interpret and integrate peripheral blood, bone marrow, flow cytometry, cytogenetic and molecular diagnostic findings. • Provide specialist transfusion and supportive-care guidance in collaboration with Transfusion Medicine. • Participate in multidisciplinary tumour boards and disease-specific clinical meeting
