Together, we are building a better world, so we can all enjoy living in it. **Job Summary:** Caterpillar is seeking a well‑qualified **D365 Product Owner – Retail & Commerce**, responsible for supporting the full functional needs of the Caterpillar Enterprise Resource Platform (ERP) template for Caterpillar Dealers. The Caterpillar ERP solution will be built on **Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations**, with specialization in **Retail & Commerce** and preferred knowledge in **Finance**. The ideal candidate will lead end‑to‑end implementations, architect scalable retail solutions, and drive integrations across enterprise systems, ensuring compliance with Microsoft standards while guiding organizations through digital transformation initiatives. Additionally, the candidate will contribute to solutioning and developing **D365 Retail & Commerce templates** for implementation. **What You Will Do** **Product Vision & Strategy** - Define and own **Dynamics 365 Retail & Commerce architecture**, with Finance as a supporting domain. - Translate complex retail and dealer requirements into secure, high‑performing ERP solutions tailored for Caterpillar’s industry. - Partner with stakeholders to define roadmaps, integrations, and reporting strategies across **Retail, Commerce, and Finance**. - Drive integration strategies between CE, F&O, third‑party, and legacy systems (including Dual Write and Dataverse). **System Ownership** - Design and configure **Retail, Commerce, POS, Pricing, Promotions, Loyalty, and Finance modules** to meet Caterpillar dealer needs. - Stay current with Microsoft D365 updates and recommend architecture enhancements that improve retail operational efficiency. - Manage functional and technical interfaces, ensuring seamless integration with CE, ISV solutions, and Power Platform. **Requirements Definition** - Collaborate with Caterpillar, Caterpillar Dealers, and business stakeholders to elicit and document **retail and commerce ERP requirements**. - Conduct gap/fit analysis across **Retail, Commerce, and Finance workstreams**, ensuring compliance with Caterpillar’s standards. - Prepare technical documentation and training materials for engineering teams, alongside non‑technical presentations for stakeholders. - Communicate dealer and customer feedback to technology teams to improve product quality and roadmap alignment. **Delivery & Execution** - Conduct risk assessments, root cause analysis, corrective actions, and quality assurance processes for retail operations. - Oversee issue resolution and corrective actions to maintain Caterpillar’s quality and security standards. - Perform volume testing, regression testing, and end‑to‑end integration testing by modeling **real‑world retail scenarios**. - Create automated test cases/suites and utilize automated testing tools to perform and report on testing outcomes. **Release Management** - Partner with cross‑functional teams to manage release dependencies and clarify ERP requirements. - Manage DevOps pipelines, CI/CD, and environment strategies for **Retail & Commerce projects**. - Oversee Lifecycle Services (LCS) and Power Platform Admin Center (PPAC), planning testing before code releases across Dev/UAT/Prod environments. **Stakeholder Management** - Act as a product advocate within the engineering team, ensuring QA and testing insights are incorporated into product improvements. - Build strong relationships with Caterpillar Digital leads, external vendors, and Caterpillar Dealers to align ERP architecture with **retail business goals**. **Change Management** - Identify opportunities to improve **dealer retail processes** and drive operational consistency across Finance and Commerce. - Manage change requirements by incorporating risk assessments, QA insights, and corrective actions into ERP delivery. **User Training & Support** - Prepare technical and non‑technical documentation, workflows, and playbooks to ensure dealer understanding and adoption. - Collaborate with training departments to deliver **Retail ERP training programs** and provide ongoing support. - Assist in resolving or remediating ERP issues, ensuring smooth dealer operations. **What You Will Have** **ERP & Systems Knowledge (MS Dynamics 365 Retail & Commerce focus)** - Hands‑on experience with **Microsoft Dynamics 365 Retail & Commerce** (or related platforms) in a product or process leadership role. - Understanding of **Retail configuration, POS, pricing, promotions, loyalty programs, and Finance integrations**. - Awareness of Microsoft release cycles and ability to assess new features for business value. - Knowledge of retail product lifecycle management, including adoption and change management. **Business Analysis** - Strong understanding of **retail and commerce operations**: POS, promotions, loyalty, pricing, order fulfillment, and dealer/customer engagement. - Ability to identify gaps in retail processes and design system‑driven solutions. - Experience supporting KPIs such as **sales uplift, customer retention, order accuracy, and margin optimization**. **Decision Making and Critical Thinking** - Analytical skills to interpret **retail and commerce performance metrics** and identify opportunities for process improvement. - Ability to support retail leadership with actionable insights for cost optimization and operational agility. - Familiarity with reporting tools (e.g., Power BI, Dynamics 365 dashboards) for retail performance. **Effective Communica
