We are committed to hiring the best, most talented people and empowering them to thrive, grow meaningful careers and to find a place where they belong.  Whether you’ve got deep experience in commercial real estate, skilled trades or technology, or you’re looking to apply your relevant experience to a new industry, join our team as we help shape a brighter way forward.    Director Projects Project and Development Services     What this job involves:    Locking on operational success  As operations manager, you’ll ensure that all projects are professionally approached from a commercial risk management, client satisfaction, procedural compliance, and quality perspective. To do so, you’ll constantly need to nail down compliance with project safety and environmental plans. You’ll also set the seal on appropriate project budgets, tender processes and contracts with clients, consultants, contractors, and suppliers.     Also part of your job scope is to ensure that project programmes have achievable objectives and a clear milestone. Likewise, you’ll sit on top of the construction phase of projects and see to it that we’re providing appropriate supervision. Our quality, health and safety systems are the cornerstone of the project and development service line, so you’ll need to spearhead the way to a culture that make sure that all of these are maintained. You’ll also oversee the commercial success of projects for both clients and the company.    Being a big-picture thinker and innovation-forward  You’ll determine the needs, requirements and constraints of our resources to ensure all projects can be successfully delivered. You’ll need to ensure our project managers represent our clients’ best interests—from inception to completion—in a professional and ethical manner.     Do you know how to drive innovation forward? You’ll better make use of this know-how in taking advantage of the role of JLL technology—including OVP, Prolog, Atlas and any new initiatives as they arise—in the delivery of projects.     Blazing the trail for honesty and trust-building  This role is instrumental in creating a culture that fosters honest and trustworthy communication. You’ll act as a role model for all team members so that they feel welcome and valued. You will lend your knowledge and expertise to develop staff and provide regular feedback and guidance.     Part of your job is to build and maintain the trust of our clients. The positive relationships you will cultivate will cement new project leads. You’ll also play an active role in business development—the larger and/or riskier the project to successfully manage, the better. Ensure appropriate tender processes are implemented and contracts are in place with clients, consultants, contractors, and suppliers.      Sound like you? To apply you need to be:    Experienced in the field  Do you have a degree in a relevant property-related discipline? On top of that, you should also have 12 years of experience or a combination of formal education and experience of over 15 years, four of which must be related to design, construction or project and management.     Technical and business savvy  Being an operations manager requires you to be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite, Sharepoint, Microsoft Project. You are also expected to have a deep knowledge in managing project teams, resources and cost reporting systems—such as Prolog. You should also have keen understanding of the legal environment for each project in respect of planning, commercial aspects, and delivery constraints. If you can carry out commercial negotiations with contractors, suppliers, consultants, and authorities under agreed Limits of Authority, that’ll be fantastic!     On top of these, you should also be familiar with requirements for complying with ISO0, OHSAS 19001 in maintaining accreditations, where applicable. How familiar are you with delivery methods such as project management, construction management, managing contractors, warranted price, lump sum, among others? Likewise, you should be adept with preparing project proposals and delivering presentations. Your passion for coaching and mentoring will be indispensable to this role as you will train members of the PDS team.     <span style="font-
