Role Overview (Position Summary) Senior Manager- Distribution Planning • The role involves leading network-wide inventory allocation and fulfilment optimization to ensure high product availability while minimizing operational costs and maintaining strict regulatory compliance Overall, Job Responsibilities • Plan the distribution of finished products from own plants / Central warehouses to Super Distributors. • Work in conjunction with the Central Warehouse & Logistics to execute delivery of finished products Super Distributors in a timely and cost-efficient manner. • Periodically review inventory at Super Distributors and balance inventory across locations by executing distributor to distributor transfers wherever necessary • Execute orders of Modern Trade, E-Commerce and export orders for Nepal • Work in conjunction with the Central Warehouse to convert sales packs to physician samples or institutional packs as per requirement • Review inventory ageing and work closely with Sales and Marketing team to liquidate slow moving products • Support launch of new products as per schedule and post-launch replenishment in a timely manner • Work with logistics team to reduce transportation cost by running cost saving initiatives in distribution planning & logistics domain. Education, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Education MBA/PGDBA or equivalent in Operations Management / Supply Chain Management Knowledge & Skills (Functional and Technical) • Candidate should have demonstrated capabilities of managing complex distribution landscape (large number of products / SKUs and source-destination matrix) • Experience in designing & deploying optimization models R, Python or equivalent. Desired Experience • 8 – 10 years’ total experience in front end supply chain (distribution planning and demand planning). • At least 3-4 years’ experience in distribution planning is desirable. • Candidates who have worked in pharmaceutical, healthcare, FMCG or paints industry will be preferred. • Should have experience of handling 6 – 7 down the line team members.
