The Global EHS team is responsible for developing and leading enterprise-wide programs that protect employees, the environment, and business operations across Lam's global footprint. The organization establishes EHS standards, compliance frameworks, and governance processes to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements, manage environmental risks, and drive continuous improvement. Through close collaboration with site EHS teams and cross-functional partners, Global EHS advances environmental stewardship, regulatory compliance, operational excellence, and sustainable business practices worldwide. The impact you’ll make As a Senior Environmental Engineer, you will play a key role in advancing Lam Research's global environmental compliance and stewardship programs. You will partner with cross-functional teams and site EHS organizations worldwide to ensure compliance with environmental regulations and industry standards, manage environmental risks, and drive continuous improvement across Lam's operations. What you’ll do This role will be supporting the global Lam sites, particularly in the Asia region, to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations, conformance with industry standards and corporate policy and procedures, and maintenance of ISO 14001 certification. In addition, this role will: • Ensure consistent implementation and monitoring of corporate environmental programs. Some of these major programs include, but not to limited to, environmental permitting, air emission control and monitoring, chemical and hazardous materials management, waste management and minimization, stormwater pollution prevention, and industrial wastewater effluent monitoring and management. • Assist sites in collecting environmental data for the annual ESG report and in providing environmental response to the RBA self-assessment questionnaires and customer surveys. • Participate in environmental and sustainability initiatives. Support waste reduction, energy and water savings, and greenhouse gas emission reduction projects at Lam sites. • Assist in external and internal EHS compliance and ISO audits. Participate in gap analysis and monitor closure of action items and corrective actions. • Support site EHS teams, as needed, in preparing and completing agency submittals, reports, and permit applications. • Assist site EHS teams in performing environmental risk assessment for new chemical requests, process modifications, and new tool installation. • Track and monitor emerging regulations as well as new laws and any changes to the regulations that are relevant to the site operations. Determine impact and applicability to the Lam sites. • Assist site EHS teams in developing and maintaining the legal register or compliance obligations, compliance calendar, risk register and impact/aspect assessment, site-specific EHS procedures and manuals, and compliance plans. • Develop and update corporate environmental standards and procedures. Drive continual improvement. • Conducting periodic audits of waste disposal sites. • Train personnel to ensure understanding of environmental programs. • Coordinate incident investigations on environmental exceedances and assist with the development of containment and corrective action plans. Who we’re looking for • Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience. • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field required; Master's degree preferred. • Extensive experience in environmental compliance, environmental management systems, and regulatory due diligence within a manufacturing, semiconductor, or high-tech environment. • Strong technical knowledge of environmental regulations related to hazardous waste, air emissions, wastewater, stormwater, chemical management, environmental permitting, and regulatory reporting. • Proven ability to interpret complex regulatory requirements and translate them into practical compliance strategies and business processes. • Experience leading environmental audits, compliance assessments, incident investigations, and corrective and preventive action programs. • Demonstrated success managing environmental compliance programs and driving continuous improvement initiatives across multiple sites or regions. • Strong understanding of ISO 14001 environmental management systems and environmental risk management practices. • Experience working with regulatory agencies and managing environmental inspections, reporting obligations, and permit compliance requirements. • Ability to lead cross-functional projects and influence stakeholders across EHS, operations, engineering, facilities, supply chain, and business functions. • Strong analytical, problem-solving, project management, and communication skills. • Commitment to environmental stewardship, operational excellence, and maintaining the highest standards of regulatory compliance and responsible business practices. • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, global environment while managing multiple priorities and delivering results. • Must be fluent in English. Preferred qualifications • Master’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related technical discipline preferred. • 8+ years of environmental compliance and environmental management experience in semiconductor manufacturing, high-tech manufacturing, or a similarly regulated industry. • Strong knowledge of U.S. and international environmental regulations, including air emissions, wastewater, stormwater, hazardous waste, chemical management, and sustainability report
