**Position Overview** We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate Assistant Manager - Java Full Stack to join our Global Markets IT team in Mumbai. As a key member of our team, you will design, develop, and install software solutions to support our capital markets platforms. You will be responsible for building high-quality, innovative, and fully performing software, collaborating with onshore and offshore teams, and providing technical guidance to ensure the delivery of robust and scalable solutions. **Job Responsibilities** - Engineer solutions for complex problems involving capital markets platforms - Hands-on full-stack development (UI, Middleware, Services/API, Backend (SQL)) - Architect highly performant applications/modules using appropriate frameworks/tools - Deliver robust and scalable solutions rapidly in an agile way - Ensure usage of appropriate practices to ensure high quality and data security protocols - Provide 3rd line support, working with the Application production support team - Manage day-to-day tasks and be accountable for deliveries from offshore - Collaborate with Onshore and Offshore teams **Required Skills and Experience** - Bachelor's degree in a related area (Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent) - 7-10 years of hands-on experience in Java full-stack development in an enterprise environment - Strong knowledge of Java (preferably Java 21), Spring Boot, Hibernate, and SQL - Experience with front-end technologies such as Angular, RxJS, Typescript, and JavaScript - Understanding of data security protocols and controls - Strong collaboration and teamwork skills - Ability to operate autonomously without supervision and make decisive decisions - Critical thinking and problem-solving skills **Good to Have Skills and Experience** - Experience with Jenkins, DevOps pipeline, and agile methodologies - Knowledge of basic algorithms and ability to estimate execution complexity - Experience with industry-standard products and market-leading IT applications - Familiarity with cloud-based technologies and microservices architecture - Certification in Java or related technologies - Experience working in a multi-location IT team and collaborating with global teams **About the Company** BNP Paribas is a leading European bank with a global presence, operating in 65 countries with nearly 185,000 employees.
