The Senior Learning Experience Designer – Learning Design & Technology is a senior technical specialist responsible for designing, developing, and governing enterprise-scale digital learning solutions across Global Learning Services. The role combines expertise in Learning Experience Design (LXD), instructional design, learning technologies, and AI-enabled learning to create engaging, scalable, accessible, and business-focused learning experiences. The role serves as the technical authority for digital learning design, authoring technologies, learning platforms, accessibility, and quality standards while partnering with stakeholders to deliver flagship learning programmes and continuously improve digital learning capability across the organization. Key Accountabilities: Learning Experience Design & Digital Learning Development • Design and develop enterprise and flagship digital learning programmes using modern Learning Experience Design (LXD), instructional design methodologies, adult learning principles, and learning science . • Create engaging learning solutions across multiple modalities, including eLearning, blended learning, virtual learning, microlearning, video learning, simulations, and performance support . • Translate business and performance needs into learner-centred digital learning experiences that deliver measurable business outcomes. • Develop advanced digital learning solutions using modern authoring tools, multimedia technologies, and AI-assisted content development capabilities. Job Description: Learning Technologies, Quality & Innovation • Serve as the technical expert for Learning Design & Technology, including authoring tools, Learning Management Systems (LMS), Learning Experience Platforms (LXP), SCORM, xAPI, learning analytics, and emerging digital learning technologies. • Champion Digital Learning Standards, accessibility (WCAG), branding, and quality governance across all learning solutions. • Conduct technical and instructional design reviews to ensure enterprise-quality deliverables. • Evaluate, prototype, and recommend innovative learning technologies and AI-enabled solutions that enhance learner experience and operational efficiency. Stakeholder Consulting & Delivery Excellence • Partner with business stakeholders and Subject Matter Experts to analyse learning requirements and recommend appropriate digital learning solutions. • Design, develop, and deliver complex learning projects from concept through deployment while ensuring quality, compliance, and agreed timelines. • Provide technical guidance, peer reviews, and coaching to Instructional Designers, Developers, Learning Programmers, and QA specialists to strengthen team capability and promote best practices. • Contribute to the continuous improvement of the Learning Design & Technology function through reusable assets, standards, templates, and knowledge sharing. Essential Experience • 10–12+ years of experience in Learning Experience Design, Instructional Design, Digital Learning, or Learning Technology. • Proven experience designing enterprise-scale and flagship digital learning programmes. • Advanced knowledge of modern instructional design methodologies and adult learning principles. • Extensive hands-on experience with digital learning authoring tools, multimedia production, and AI-enabled learning technologies. • Strong experience working with LMS, LXP, SCORM, xAPI, learning analytics, and enterprise learning ecosystems. • Experience reviewing complex digital learning solutions and maintaining high-quality standards. • Experience consulting with global stakeholders and delivering complex learning projects Skills Case Management Software, Continual Improvement Process, Data Analysis, Digital Fluency, Employee Experience, Problem Solving, Program Delivery Management, Project Management    Why GSK?
