We are seeking a Senior Manager, Tax Accounting – APAC to join our global Tax Accounting team, where innovation knows no borders. The Tax Accounting team ensures financial integrity, regulatory compliance and strategic tax alignment across all international operations. As Senior Manager, Tax Accounting – APAC, you will own US GAAP income tax reporting (ASC 740) and direct tax compliance across APAC. Based in India and reporting to the Global Senior Director of Tax Accounting, you will prepare and review complex provisions, oversee local filings and disputes, and brief management on material risks. You will work with regional accounting, treasury, business colleagues and external advisers in a lean, hands-on tax team. What you'll do • Lead quarterly and annual ASC 740 income tax provisions for APAC entities. Prepare and review current and deferred tax calculations, valuation allowances and uncertain tax positions; explain significant changes from quarter to quarter. • Own APAC corporate income tax compliance, including timely local returns, tax payments and tax disclosures in statutory accounts. Review external advisers’ work, coordinate with local accounting teams and manage adviser fees. • Lead responses to direct tax authority audits and inquiries. Assess material exposure, prioritize the issues that matter most and communicate risks and recommended actions promptly to management. • Own regional Pillar Two filings and related compliance. Provide accurate APAC data on time for global calculations and assess the effect of local tax law changes on reporting and compliance. • Partner with accounting and treasury on tax reporting and payments, and advise legal and business colleagues on the tax implications of commercial matters. • Guide the APAC Tax Manager and coordinate work across a lean team. Review technical output while remaining ready to complete complex calculations yourself. What you'll bring Required qualifications • Minimum 12 years of corporate direct tax experience within a multinational enterprise or Big 4 firm, with deep APAC regional expertise. • Hands-on experience preparing and reviewing quarterly and annual ASC 740 tax provisions, including deferred taxes, uncertain tax positions and effective tax rate movements. • Experience coordinating corporate income tax compliance and local statutory tax reporting across multiple APAC jurisdictions, with a sound understanding of India corporate tax. • Experience managing tax authority audits and advisers, exercising judgment on material tax risks and explaining them clearly to senior stakeholders. • Ability to lead a lean team, work directly on technical matters and collaborate with regional finance and global tax colleagues.
