**Position: Senior Mechanical Engineer (NPI/NPD)** **Work Location: Hyderabad** **Job Summary** We are seeking an experienced and motivated **Senior Mechanical Engineer** with 58 years of hands-on experience in mechanical design, assembly, and product development. The ideal candidate should possess strong expertise in **BLDC motor integration**, **mechanical assemblies**, and **engineering drawing interpretation**. The role involves working closely with cross-functional teams to develop, validate, and optimize mechanical systems and electromechanical products. **Key Responsibilities** - Design, develop, and optimize mechanical components and assemblies for products incorporating **BLDC motors**. - Analyze motor integration requirements, including mounting arrangements, cooling systems, shaft couplings, housings, and transmission mechanisms. - Prepare, review, and interpret engineering drawings, GD&T specifications, BOMs, and assembly documents. - Lead mechanical assembly activities, prototype builds, and product validation testing. - Conduct tolerance stack-up analysis and ensure manufacturability of designs. - Coordinate with electrical, manufacturing, quality, and procurement teams for seamless product development. - Troubleshoot mechanical and assembly-related issues during prototype and production stages. - Support supplier development, component selection, and technical reviews. - Ensure compliance with engineering standards, quality requirements, and safety regulations. - Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product performance, reliability, and cost efficiency. - Prepare technical reports, design documentation, and engineering change requests. **Required Skills & Qualifications** **Technical Skills** - Strong knowledge of **BLDC Motor systems**, motor integration, and electromechanical assemblies. - Experience in **Mechanical Assembly** processes, tooling, fixtures, and manufacturing practices. - Proficient in **reading and interpreting engineering drawings**, assembly drawings, and GD&T. - Knowledge of material selection, manufacturing processes, and tolerance analysis. - Experience with CAD software such as **SolidWorks, Creo, CATIA, NX, or AutoCAD**. - Familiarity with DFMEA, DFM, DFA, and root cause analysis methodologies. - Understanding of bearings, gears, shafts, couplings, and motion control systems. **Educational Qualification** - Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline. - Master's degree is an added advantage. **Experience** - 5 to 8 years of relevant experience in mechanical design, product development, or electromechanical systems. - Experience working with BLDC motor-based products such as EVs, industrial automation, robotics, consumer appliances, pumps, or HVAC systems is preferred.
