**Job Summary:** We are seeking a visionary, transformative, and results-driven engineering leader to head our Motion Control Engineering team in Pune, India. This role will be instrumental in transforming the team from “Technical execution” to “Technical Leadership” with global design authority within Motion Control product portfolio and executing a robust product roadmap aligned with global business priorities. The ideal candidate will have passion for building high-performing team and world-class lab capabilities to support product development and test, fostering innovation, and delivering measurable business impact. As a Leader, you will play a critical role in shaping the future of our product portfolio, aligning engineering strategy with business priorities, and building a high-performance, globally integrated organization. You will be responsible for fostering a strong NPD culture, driving accountability, and ensuring excellence in product design, performance, and delivery—consistent with Aventics and Afag brands reputation. The role requires strong leadership in building and nurturing cross-functional partnerships with global teams, including Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations, and Product Marketing, along with key stakeholders, to ensure successful delivery of strategic objectives. The EIC-P hosts a major Engineering team building Technical ownership within Strategic Business Unit Motion Control. Motion Control focuses on components and solutions for Factory Automation, Industrial Automation and Marine markets. Leader will work directly with the Motion Control Global Engineering Vice president. **IN THIS ROLE, YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL BE:** **Team and People Development** - Drive organizational transformation to embed accountability and ownership in NPD. - Define and execute a clear engineering vision across structure, talent, processes, and technology. - Develop talent strategies aligned with global and local business priorities - Lead and develop a team of ~20 engineers, scaling the organization to double its size by attracting, developing, and retaining top talent across Mechanical Engineering, Embedded Systems, FPGA design and Project Management while building strong technical depth and leadership capabilities. - Establish an agile organization structure that enables growth, learning, and business scalability - Lead end-to-end people processes including hiring, performance, development, and retention - Foster high engagement through transparent and consistent communication - Cultivate an inclusive, diverse, and collaborative global work environment - Candidate will be part of Global engineering team. **Product Roadmap Execution** - Participate in the development and lead the execution of a forward-looking product roadmap that balances innovation, superior design quality, product performance and accelerated time-to-market. - Ensure that product design quality, reliability, and performance remain at the forefront, reinforcing the Aventics brand reputation for engineering excellence and customer trust. - Partner closely with Emerson Motion Control teams to identify and leverage synergies, enable knowledge sharing, and adopt best practices. This collaboration should enhance operational efficiency and deliver maximum business value. **Product & Technology** - Foster a culture of innovation by harnessing team creativity and driving the adoption of advanced technologies to standardize and globalize key engineering processes. - Maintain strong awareness and understanding of emerging and established technologies in Factory Automation and Marine domains, aligning them with business needs. - Drive product innovation within the Emerson ecosystem by leveraging cross-functional collaboration and integrating cutting-edge solutions to enhance product competitiveness and value. **Process & Quality Improvement** - Collaborate and benchmark with other Emerson SBUs to adopt and institutionalize best practices across shared engineering processes. - Partner closely with HR, Finance, IT, and Administration functions to proactively address operational challenges, ensure smooth organizational functioning, and enhance efficiency through operational excellence. - Drive annual budgeting, resource planning, and vendor management initiatives to ensure optimal utilization of resources and cost efficiency. **WHO YOU ARE:** A **transformational leader** with a proven ability to elevate organizational performance by driving ownership and accountability.
