Senior Quality Engineer- Cloud Applications and Test Automation

At Sabre, we power the global travel industry through innovative technology solutions. We are looking for a passionate Senior Quality Engineer to join our Revenue Optimization team and help drive quality across modern cloud-native platforms. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and executing test strategies, building automation solutions, and ensuring the reliability, scalability, and performance of cloud-based applications. You will collaborate closely with Software Engineers, Product Managers, and cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality products at scale. Key Responsibilities • Design, develop, and execute test plans, test cases, and automation scripts. • Perform functional, integration, system, regression, and exploratory testing. • Build and maintain automation frameworks for web, API, and backend testing. • Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to support continuous testing. • Drive test coverage improvements and identify automation opportunities. • Test cloud-native applications, microservices, and containerized solutions. • Analyze defects, perform root cause analysis, and partner with teams to resolve issues. • Support release validation, regression testing, and quality initiatives across multiple teams. • Mentor junior Quality Engineers and contribute to continuous process improvements. Required Skills & Experience • 6+ years of experience in Software Quality Engineering and Testing. • Strong experience in manual and automated testing of web, API, and backend applications. • Hands-on experience with automation tools such as Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, Cucumber, or similar. • Experience testing microservices-based architectures and distributed systems. • Strong understanding of API testing using REST/JSON, Postman, REST Assured, or similar tools. • Experience with cloud platforms (GCP preferred; AWS/Azure acceptable). • Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD environments. • Ability to write SQL queries for data validation and testing. • Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies and SDLC. Qualifications • Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or a related field (required). • Masters Degree in Computer Science or a related field (preferred).
