We build and operate scalable data platforms and services that power analytics, reporting, machine learning, and AI-driven solutions. As a Senior Software Engineer, you will contribute to the design, development, and operation of cloud-native data platforms and streaming solutions. You will collaborate with software engineers, platform engineers, data scientists, and business stakeholders to deliver reliable, scalable, and secure data products that support Vestas' digital transformation journey. Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and data services using Python and cloud-native technologies Build and support real-time and event-driven data solutions using Confluent Kafka and related ecosystem components Develop and maintain data integration services, APIs, and backend components using FastAPI, Pydantic, and SQLAlchemy Design and optimize data models, data ingestion processes, and transformation workflows in Snowflake Support data quality, governance, and observability initiatives across the data platform Deploy, operate, and troubleshoot workloads running on Kubernetes-based platforms Perform root cause analysis, incident management, and production support activities Collaborate with platform teams on architecture, scalability, security, and operational excellence Support users and stakeholders with data ingestion, processing, and analytics workloads Qualifications Bachelor's / Master's degree in Computer Science / Information Technology / Similar specialization 8+ years of experience designing and building data-intensive applications and cloud-based systems Strong programming skills in Python and object-oriented software development Experience working with modern data platforms and data warehousing technologies, preferably Snowflake Experience with streaming technologies and event-driven architectures, preferably Confluent Kafka Experience building APIs and backend services using frameworks such as FastAPI Experience with DevOps practices and CI/CD implementations Experience with containerization and orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes Experience working with Microsoft Azure services and Azure DevOps is preferred Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, and operational support skills Excellent collaboration and communication skills in a global environment Competencies Collaborative and open-minded, with the ability to work effectively across teams and disciplines Curious and passionate about building scalable and innovative data solutions Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities Proactive and accountable, with a focus on quality and continuous improvement Comfortable working in a dynamic and evolving technology landscape Strong communication skills and stakeholder management capabilities Eager to learn new technologies and contribute to team success What We Offer You will join a dedicated and passionate team committed to enabling data-driven decision-making through scalable data platforms and modern engineering practices.
