Job Title: Senior Software Engineer in Test (SDET) Summary: We are looking for a talented Software Engineer in Test (SDET) or Software Developer to join our Artificial Intelligence teams and help building products and services to bring the benefits of our innovative technology to Genesys Customers. As an SDET, you will be designing and developing automated test frameworks and additional cloud based test infrastructure that help guarantee the quality of our software deliverables. As a member of a cross functional development team, you will be also ensuring scalability and availability of the entire platform and delivering high quality code. Candidates for this position are able to code effectively in at least one object oriented programming language and can quickly learn new techniques and languages. While SDETs primarily focus is on automation efforts of a single team, they also have a drive to understand how their work integrates with other groups in order to provide value to our customers. We also have a strong focus on Continuous Delivery with a DevOps mindset which will also give you an opportunity to work and leverage technologies such Jenkins, AWS and Docker. Key Responsibilities: • Work with Senior SDETs and DevOps engineers in order to expand existing test automation solutions and create new ones. • Write automated functional acceptance tests at the API and UI level. • Maintain automated test jobs in automated deployment pipelines. • Exploratory Testing to ensure functional and usability integrity. • Performance/Load Testing to ensure product meet scalability needs. • Contribute as a delivery team member through an Agile Scrum methodology representing testing and quality assurance concerns. Minimum Requirements: • Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related disciplines • 5+ years of experience in Software Development in Test or Software Development. • Experience developing in at least one of the following OO languages – Python, Java, JavaScript. • Experience working with UI test automation frameworks such as playwright, selenium. • Experienced with API test automation frameworks such as Requests or REST Assured. • Experience working within Agile software development frameworks. • Knowledge of container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes). • You have a DevOps mindset and champion Continuous Delivery best practices. • You are curious, self-driven, and you are not afraid to ask questions. • Demonstrated awareness of modern AI technologies and their implications (safety, privacy, reliability), with role-appropriate skills developed through internal training and applied practice.
