Position Details • Job Title: Solution Architect • Function/Department: Technology • Location: Hyderabad • Employment Type: Full Time • Reports To: Domain Architect / Chief Architect Role Overview The Solution Architect is a senior technical leader within Chubb’s Global Architecture team. This individual translates complex business and insurance-domain requirements into scalable, secure, and resilient technology solutions—taking an end-to-end view of business processes and spanning multiple domains, including security, infrastructure, data, integration, and application layers across Chubb’s worldwide operations. Key Responsibilities and Focus Areas Strategic Impact • Partner with C-suite and business leaders on technology roadmaps. • Support the development of a strategy or vision that aligns with organizational objectives. • Lead the Investment Planning process (Technology Strat Plan) by: • Gathering business drivers and demand, • Balancing priorities, • Defining regional technology strategy and roadmap. Technical Leadership • Lead end-to-end solution design for enterprise initiatives. • Guide engineering squads through architecture reviews and Architecture Decision Records (ADRs). • Own non-functional requirements, including performance, security, and scalability. • Drive reusable architecture, design patterns, standards, and policy. • Participate in and present at design forums to defend solution designs. • Frame initiatives from the inception phase and provide support for Cost-Benefit Analysis (CBA). Cross-Domain Collaboration • Mentor junior architects and senior engineers. • Work closely with key business stakeholders—including underwriting, claims, operations, actuarial, finance, and distribution—to understand business objectives, products, and processes. • Translate business requirements and pain points into viable solution options, clearly highlighting impacts, risks, and trade-offs. • Participate in governance forums (such as architecture boards, design reviews, and project steering groups) to present and defend solution designs. What You Will Do • Architecture Design & Governance • Define and own solution blueprints for large-scale enterprise programs. Conduct architecture reviews, enforce architectural standards, and ensure that all designs comply with Chubb’s security and regulatory requirements—including GDPR, SOX, and local insurance mandates. • Cloud & Infrastructure Strategy • Drive Chubb’s cloud transformation agenda across AWS, Azure, and hybrid environments. Define cloud landing zone patterns, establish FinOps guardrails, and set infrastructure-as-code standards using technologies such as Terraform and Kubernetes. • Integration & API Design • Architect event-driven and API-first integration patterns using Kafka, MuleSoft, and REST/GraphQL APIs. Ensure seamless, secure, and scalable connectivity between core insurance systems—such as Policy, Claims, and Billing—and modern digital channels. • Data & Analytics Architecture • Partner closely with Data Engineering and Analytics teams to design modern data architectures, including data lakes, data mesh implementations, and real-time streaming platforms. These architectures should enable advanced analytics, artificial intelligence (AI), and machine learning (ML) capabilities across the enterprise. • Security & Resilience • Embed security by design throughout the architecture lifecycle. Implement zero-trust networking principles, robust identity & access management (IAM), strong encryption standards, and proven disaster-recovery and business-continuity architecture patterns. • Stakeholder Engagement • Communicate complex architectural concepts clearly and effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Produce well-structured Architecture Decision Records (ADRs) and present strategic architectural proposals and reviews to governance boards and executive leadership. Required Qualifications What We Are Looking For Education • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field • Master’s degree preferred (MBA or MSc in Technology Management a plus) Experience • 10+ years of progressive IT experience, with at least 4–5 years in a Solution or Enterprise Architect
