Experience: 12+ years of software engineering experience with at least 4+ years as a Solution Architect, Principal Engineer, or Technical Architect delivering enterprise Retail and eCommerce solutions. Technical Expertise Retail & eCommerce Strong understanding of Omnichannel Retail architecture and business processes. Experience with Commerce Platforms such as Shopify, VTEX, Salesforce Commerce Cloud, Adobe Commerce (Magento), or similar. Experience integrating OMS, PIM, ERP, CRM, WMS, Payment Gateways, Loyalty, Tax, Search, and Shipping platforms. Strong understanding of Catalog, Pricing, Promotions, Inventory, Checkout, Order Management, Fulfilment, Customer, and Returns domains. Frontend ReactJS, Next.js, modern UI architecture and Headless Commerce. Backend Node.js, Express.js, AWS Lambda, Serverless Architecture, Microservices. Languages TypeScript, JavaScript (ES6+). Architecture Microservices Architecture. Event-Driven Architecture. Domain-Driven Design (DDD). API-First Architecture. Distributed Systems. Integration Patterns. APIs GraphQL, RESTful APIs. Testing Jest, unit testing, integration testing, contract testing, and automated testing frameworks. Cloud AWS (Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, S3, EventBridge, SQS/SNS, CloudFormation, CloudWatch, IAM). CI/CD & Tools Git, Docker, Kubernetes (preferred), GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Terraform/CloudFormation, SonarQube, CI/CD pipelines. — Preferred Skills Experience with Headless Commerce architecture. Experience building scalable enterprise integration solutions. Familiarity with Kafka, EventBridge, or other messaging/event streaming platforms. Experience implementing DevSecOps and Infrastructure as Code. Strong knowledge of application security, OAuth2, OIDC, JWT, and security best practices. Experience with observability platforms such as New Relic, Datadog, Grafana, Prometheus, or CloudWatch. Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies. Hands-on experience reviewing production code, mentoring engineering teams, and driving architecture implementation. Job responsibilities An experienced and highly skilled Hands-on Solution Architect to lead the design, architecture, development, and optimization of enterprise Retail and eCommerce applications. You will be responsible for driving architectural decisions while remaining actively involved in the implementation of complex solutions. The ideal candidate is a hands-on technical leader who can architect solutions, build proof of concepts, review production code, mentor engineering teams, and ensure engineering excellence across the full software development lifecycle. Key Responsibilities: Architecture & Design Lead the architecture, design, and development of complex, scalable, and high-performance Retail and eCommerce applications. Translate business requirements into scalable, secure, and maintainable solution architectures. Define and enforce architecture standards, coding standards, engineering best practices, and technology guidelines. Create High-Level Designs (HLD), Low-Level Designs (LLD), integration specifications, and architecture documentation. Collaborate with Product Managers, Business Stakeholders, Engineering teams, and vendors to design enterprise solutions. Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend appropriate architecture patterns, frameworks, and platforms. Development & Technical Leadership Remain hands-on by contributing to critical application development, proof of concepts, and complex technical implementations. Build end-to-end solutions using ReactJS/Next.js (Frontend) and Node.js/AWS Serverless (Backend). Design and implement APIs using GraphQL and REST. Architect and develop cloud-native, microservices, and event-driven applications on AWS. Design integrations with Commerce Platforms, OMS, PIM, ERP, CRM, WMS, Payment Gateways, Loyalty, Search, and other enterprise systems. Drive code quality through architecture reviews, code reviews, pair programming, and technical coaching. Ensure test coverage and application reliability through unit, integration, and automated testing. Drive CI/CD automation, DevSecOps practices, Infrastructure as Code, and engineering excellence. Troubleshoot complex production issues and provide architectural guidance for performance, scalability, and reliability improvements. Mentorship & Team Collaboration Mentor Solution Architects, Technical Leads, and Software Engineers across multiple teams. Collaborate with Product, UX/UI, QA, DevOps, Security, Infrastructure, and Business teams. Lead architecture reviews, design workshops, technical discussions, and proof of concepts. Establish reusable architecture patterns, frameworks, and reference implementations. Guide engineering teams in adopting modern software engineering practices and cloud-native development. Scalability & Performance Design highly available, scalable, resilient, and secure cloud-native applications. Optimize applications for performance, scalability, resiliency, and cost-effectiveness on AWS. Define observability, monitoring, logging, tracing, and alerting strategies. Ensure solutions meet enterprise security, compliance, and non-functional requirements. Drive continuous architecture improvements, technical debt reduction, and modernization initiatives.
