Solution Architect / Senior Solution Architect - Java with Any Cloud

Job description

We are seeking an experienced and innovative Solution Architect / Senior Solution Architect with a solid background in solution or cloud architecture within enterprise environments. In this role, you will design and deliver secure, scalable and high-performing solutions, working closely with global teams to define architectural strategies, align with technical standards and drive technical excellence across the organization. Responsibilities • Architect and lead the development of cloud-native solutions using microservices and event-driven paradigms • Define architectural standards, patterns and best practices for enterprise-scale engineering teams • Design and implement solutions with technologies such as Kubernetes and service mesh tools like Istio • Collaborate with global solution architecture, technology teams and stakeholders to ensure alignment with overarching technical strategies • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to development teams, fostering best practices and knowledge sharing • Drive performance optimization by leading performance testing and fine-tuning distributed systems • Create and maintain architectural documentation using tools like Miro, Gliffy or Draw.io to convey technical designs effectively • Lead cloud adoption, modernization and optimization initiatives for enterprise systems • Align technology solutions with business objectives while addressing scalability, reliability and security requirements • Evaluate emerging technologies and assess their application for solving business challenges • Work closely with technical and product leaders to ensure successful solution delivery Requirements • 12 to 20 years of experience in IT with a solid background in solution or cloud architecture within enterprise environments • Expertise in cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS or GCP in production settings • Proven experience in designing end-to-end scalable architectures aligned with enterprise strategies • Knowledge of implementing and reviewing solutions for mergers and acquisitions • Competency in DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines; familiarity with GitHub Actions is a plus • Proficiency in tools like Miro, Gliffy or Draw.io for creating technical documentation and diagrams • Strong ability to lead architectural discussions and influence technical decision-making at various levels • Excellent communication skills to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences We offer • Opportunity to work on technical challenges that may impact across geographies • Vast opportunities for self-development: online university, knowledge sharing opportunities globally, learning opportunities through external certifications • Opportunity to share your ideas on international platforms • Sponsored Tech Talks & Hackathons • Unlimited access to LinkedIn learning solutions • Possibility to relocate to any EPAM office for short and long-term projects • Focused individual development • Benefit package: • Health benefits • Retirement benefits • Paid time off • Flexible benefits • Forums to explore beyond work passion (CSR, photography, painting, sports, etc.) EPAM is a leading global provider of digital platform engineering and development services.
