We are over 1000 business professionals – serving functions in operations, HR, finance, legal, tech, marketing, research, and data analytics – who support our offices globally.  Our mantra of “shared innovation, seamless execution,” underpinned by a passion for results, teamwork, and creativity, helps Bain stay at the top of our game operationally   **POSITION SUMMARY** We are seeking a finance professional with strong expertise in **general accounting** , preferably within a **captive/shared services environment of a multinational organization** . The role requires an individual who can operate effectively in a **dynamic, multicultural environment** , collaborating across regions and stakeholders at all levels. The incumbent will support the Manager / Sr. Manager in driving **process excellence and transformation initiatives** , including process transitions, standardization, and automation efforts. Additionally, the role will partner closely with Regional Finance leadership to support the **execution of Regional Finance Center (RFC) strategies** , contributing to scalable, efficient, and high-quality finance operations across the region. **KEY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES**   **1.** **Accounting & Month-End Close** - Execute and support **month-end close activities** , including journal entries and related processes - Perform **monthly balance sheet reconciliations** ensuring accuracy and timely resolution of open items - Support **balance sheet and P&L flux analysis** , including preparation of commentaries - Manage **cost and profit center reconciliations** with strong attention to detail - Handle **revenue-related activities** , including collections booking and ageing analysis - Manage **fixed asset accounting** , including capitalization, disposals, documentation, and reconciliations - Process **accruals, amortization, absorption entries** , and track advance disbursements - Ensure accurate  **intercompany accounting** , including AP/AR reconciliations and end-to-end settlements/netting **2. Tax & Compliance** - Ensure accurate **tax accounting** in compliance with local regulatory requirements - Develop working knowledge of **tax regulations across multiple jurisdictions** **3. Reporting & Analytics** - Prepare and deliver **monthly financial reports** to stakeholders - Support **client reconciliations, cost-to-revenue analysis** , and other management reporting - Track and report **KPIs and dashboards** to enable informed decision-making **4. Stakeholder Management** - Liaise with **regional and global teams** across APAC and other functions - Respond effectively to **ad-hoc business requirements** **5. Audit & Controls** - Support **internal and external audits** , ensuring timely and accurate deliverables - Maintain strong **financial controls, documentation, and compliance standards** **6. Projects & Transformation** - Support leadership in driving **process improvements, automation, and transformation initiatives** - Assist in **process transitions** into the Regional Finance Center (RFC) - Contribute to **standardization and harmonization** across finance operations **7. Team Scope & Flexibility** - Demonstrate flexibility to **support additional finance processes** based on team priorities and capabilities - Proactively identify opportunities to **enhance team scope and efficiency** **QUALIFICATIONS/CAPABILITIES** - **Essential** 1. CA or MBA (Finance) or M.Com 2. Minimum 8+ years relevant experience 3. Experience in General Accounting and R2R 4. 100% commitment to accuracy and meeting deadlines 5. Advanced Excel skills 6. Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and statutory compliance 7. Proficient Microsoft office skills 8. Proficiency in English, both written and verbal   - **Desired but not essential** 1. Experience or exposure to international markets (Especially APAC) 2. Experience in SAP (S4 Hana) 3. Process Transition Experience 4. Experience in a Captive Unit or Business consulting firm **KEY REQURIMENTS** - Strong **accounting knowledge and conceptual clarity** - Proven experience in **Record-to-Report (R2R) processes** , including end-to-end GL activities (closing, reporting, consolidation, cash & banking, fixed assets, and reconciliations) - Advanced proficiency in **MS Excel** ; ability to build and analyze reports and dashboards independently - Experience working with **ERP systems** (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar) - Ability to **manage stakeholder queries independently** , including interact
