Job Description Senior Chemist (Production Finished Goods) **Job Title:** Senior Chemist Production (FG) **Department:** Production Finished Goods (FG) **Experience:** 6+ Years **Qualification:** B.Sc. / M.Sc. (Chemistry or Pharmaceutical Sciences) **Reporting To:** Production Manager **Job Summary** The Senior Chemist Production (FG) is responsible for supervising and executing finished goods manufacturing operations in compliance with cGMP, SOPs, and regulatory requirements. The role ensures timely production, quality compliance, documentation accuracy, manpower management, and continuous process improvement to meet production targets. **Key Responsibilities** - Supervise daily finished goods (FG) manufacturing activities as per the approved production plan. - Ensure compliance with cGMP, SOPs, GDP, and company quality standards. - Review and maintain Batch Manufacturing Records (BMR), logbooks, and production documentation. - Monitor critical process parameters and ensure adherence to approved manufacturing processes. - Coordinate with QA, QC, Warehouse, Engineering, and Maintenance departments for uninterrupted production. - Ensure line clearance, equipment cleaning, and equipment readiness before production. - Investigate production deviations, non-conformances, and implement CAPA. - Monitor production yield, reconciliation, and material usage to minimize process losses. - Train and supervise production chemists and operators on GMP, SOPs, safety, and manufacturing practices. - Participate in process validation, equipment qualification, technology transfer, and regulatory inspections. - Ensure compliance with Environment, Health Safety (EHS) policies. - Support internal, customer, and regulatory audits by providing required documentation and technical information. - Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and operational efficiency. **Qualifications** - B.Pharm / M.Pharm / B.Sc. / M.Sc. in Chemistry or Pharmaceutical Sciences. - Minimum 6 years of experience in pharmaceutical Finished Goods (FG) production. - Experience in oral solid dosage (tablets, capsules), liquids, or other formulation manufacturing is preferred. **Required Skills** - Strong knowledge of cGMP, GDP, and pharmaceutical manufacturing regulations. - Experience in finished goods production processes and documentation. - Knowledge of deviation handling, CAPA, change control, and risk assessment. - Good understanding of production equipment and manufacturing operations. - Strong leadership, communication, and team management skills. - Proficiency in MS Office and ERP/SAP systems is an added advantage. **Key Competencies** - Production planning and execution - GMP compliance - Documentation and record management - Problem-solving and decision-making - Team leadership and mentoring - Process optimization - Time management **Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)** - Achievement of daily and monthly production targets - Batch Right First Time (RFT) - Production yield and reconciliation - GMP and regulatory compliance - Reduction in deviations and process losses - Equipment utilization and uptime - Training and development of production staff - Audit readiness and successful inspection outcomes Disclaimer : This job posting has been aggregated from external source.
