About the Role: Grade Level (for internal use): 10Senior GIS Software Engineer: Join a collaborative team of GIS professionals dedicated to innovation in the energy sector. Responsibilities and Impact: Design and deploy scalable GIS solutions that align with functional and technical requirements while driving measurable improvements in customer satisfaction and operational outcomes. Lead the design of GIS applications, including ETL processes and security frameworks, to improve operational efficiency. Partner with multidisciplinary teams to architect and deliver enhanced geospatial capabilities across both desktop and web-based platforms, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and technological innovation. What We’re Looking For: 7+ years of experience in developing and delivering product-based GIS solutions using C#, .NET Core, and Python. Extensive experience with ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Server, FME, and other Esri GIS platforms, complemented by strong skills in Git for source control. Adept at designing and integrating REST APIs and building web components using JavaScript and TypeScript. Experience in creating and managing FME workflows and supporting FME Flow administration, ensuring reliable data transformation, automation, and system performance. Experienced in working with SQL databases and deploying applications in Windows environments. Key Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities with a proactive mindset. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to advocate for ideas while being open to feedback. Resilience and adaptability in navigating complex projects and challenges. A collaborative spirit that fosters teamwork and supports a positive work environment. Additional Preferred Qualifications: Experience with cloud technologies (AWS, Azure) and automation tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible). Familiarity with modern front-end frameworks such as React or Angular. Knowledge of Open-Source GIS solutions (GeoServer, QGIS) and continuous integration tools (Azure DevOps Pipelines, Jenkins). Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies and containerization technologies.
