A Snapshot of Your Day As a Supplier Quality Engineer (SQE) for auxiliary systems supporting gas turbines, steam turbines, and generators, you will be responsible for supplier qualification, development, and quality assurance activities across the supply chain. You will work closely with global suppliers and cross-functional teams to ensure product and process compliance while driving continuous improvement and operational excellence. In this role, you will leverage quality and digitalization tools, manage supplier performance, resolve quality issues, and implement preventive actions to enhance supplier capability and reliability. How You’ll Make an Impact • Conduct supplier qualification, capability assessments, and quality audits to ensure compliance with Siemens Energy requirements. • Drive Product and Process Qualification (PPQ) activities and approve supplier manufacturing processes through Manufacturing Quality Control Plans. • Perform source, virtual, and desk inspections while supporting quality assurance activities for components and systems within your scope. • Manage supplier nonconformances, coordinate root cause analysis (RCA), and ensure effective corrective and preventive actions. • Monitor supplier KPIs, support supplier development initiatives, and drive continuous improvement through structured reviews and risk mitigation plans. What You Bring • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field. • 10+ years of experience in Supplier Quality, Quality Management, Supply Chain Management, or similar technical functions. • Experience with industrial process technologies and/or auxiliary systems used in energy generation plants is preferred. • Proven experience conducting supplier audits and strong knowledge of quality systems, including ISO 9001; familiarity with ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 is an advantage. • Strong understanding of root cause analysis, quality methodologies, risk management, and supplier development processes. • Experience working with quality management tools, supplier databases, and digital quality systems. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English with the ability to work effectively in a global environment. • Willingness to travel up to 30% based on business requirements.
