Job description

Role & responsibilities 1. Safe operation of TBM from control cabin, including steering, advance rate, cutterhead torque, thrust, and RPM adjustments. 2. Continuous monitoring of TBM performance parameters, ground conditions, and earth pressure balance (for EPB) or slurry systems. 3. Performing routine inspections, maintenance, and lubrication of TBM components such as cutters, hydraulics, and electrical systems. 4. Ensuring accurate line and grade alignment using guidance systems during excavation. 5. Coordination and supervision of precast segment erection and ring building. 6. Monitoring and control of grouting operations behind the shield. 7. Troubleshooting mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and PLC-related issues during operations. 8. Recording operational data, shift logs, and production reports. 9. Compliance with safety protocols, risk assessments, and emergency procedures in confined spaces. 10. Coordination with muck removal, ventilation, and probing/drilling teams. 11. Review and reporting of instrumentation & monitoring (I&M) data for convergence and settlement. 12. Assisting in TBM assembly, launch, breakthroughs, and disassembly as required. Preferred candidate profile 1. Diploma or BE in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or equivalent certification/experience in heavy machinery operation. 2. 10-20 Years of Experience in TBM Operation Perks and benefits
