The Team leader’s core job duty is to manage a team of Content Analysts who updates the events data for the financial events. The Team leader assists day-to-day management of the teams and the schedule, ensuring all updates are completed with a very high level of quality and a fast turnaround time. The role requires all front-line management duties for their direct reports, including holding ongoing training as needed, conducting quarterly and annual reviews, determining annual raises and bonuses, and communicating with Human Resources and higher-level management on personnel issues. The team leader will also play a key role interviewing, hiring, and training new staff. Responsible for coaching, train, and develop staff within their group, including providing direct feedback on performance. The Team leader is responsible for achieving or exceeding service, productivity, and quality targets for their group. Primary Responsibilities and Accountabilities: The Team Lead will: --Motivate, support, and develop staff to enhance and maintain the ability to adapt to the changing requirements of a continuously evolving business environment. --Inspire team to meet customer requirements and improve quality standards by setting high standards. --Advise the team of matters which affect them and their ability to perform in their job. --Train to ensure that there is an appropriate level of product, customer, and systems development awareness to help understand the broad picture and make good decisions. --Maintain a stable operational environment and clear allocation of duties within own team. --Prioritize regular operational activities and advise leaders of potential difficulties. --Use Six Sigma processes within the team to collate statistical information to help operational management of issues, improve quality and reduce costs/waste. --Communicate effectively with other data personnel globally, sharing knowledge at all times and adopting best practice. --Lead team and ensure all escalation/issues are handled appropriately and according to company policy. --Drive the Content Incentive Plan effectively within the team and communicate on an ongoing basis to staff around the performance of the team. --Communicate clearly on Pay for Performance culture and principles and the linkage to Rewards. Team leader Background: a) The ideal Team leader has prior experience in events related content or other content production. They need to have good knowledge on financial content. b) They must have good interpersonal skills , and be able to make distinctions and judgment calls on very quick notice. c) Candidates with a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience are preferred. d) Prior management experience is preferred. A background in finance and knowledge of financial terminology is a plus. e) The Team leader should also have the following skills: independent judgment, punctuality, a high level of reliability, very strong computer and researching skills, top-notch written and oral communication skills, basic MS Office experience, the ability to quickly learn new software, and strong teaching/training skills.
