**Job Summary** We are seeking a skilled Technical Leader – Firmware to join our dynamic Engineering team. This role is part of the Engineering & Design team and focuses on embedded firmware development for Industrial Automation products, particularly Electric Actuators. The position requires strong handson skills in embedded C programming, realtime firmware development, system integration, debugging, and embedded architecture design. The candidate will independently drive firmware development activities and collaborate closely with crossfunctional teams. **In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:** Work on Embedded Firmware projects as a member of Engineering & Design team for new product development and lead the development of firmware for Industrial Automation products such as Electric Actuators. Define and document embedded system architecture, requirements, and software specifications. Demonstrate a hands-on technical background, excellent C programming and embedded code in compliance with coding standards and best practices Develop and maintain low-level drivers, communication stacks, and real-time control algorithms for electric actuators. Lead code reviews, unit testing, and system-level integration testing to ensure reliability and compliance with safety standards. Support regulatory and compliance testing focused on embedded software contributions (functional safety, EMC, etc.). Evaluate new processors, RTOS platforms, and development tools to enhance product performance and maintainability. Work closely with cross-functional teams, including hardware & mechanical engineers, to ensure cohesive and integrated product development. Develop Product domain knowledge, conduct and participate in team meetings and knowledge sharing sessions. Report & communicate project progress to stakeholders periodically. Independently own and drive firmware development activities. Provide technical guidance to junior engineers when required, particularly in debugging and design quality. **For This Role, You Will Need:** Bachelor’s or Masters degree in Electrical / Electronics / Telecommunication / Computer Engineering. 10+ years of professional work experience in embedded firmware development Proficiency in C/C++ for real-time embedded systems. Experience with microcontrollers, RTOS, and embedded development tool chains. Experience integrating with hardware at the driver level (sensors, ADC/DAC, communication interfaces, etc.). Practical embedded software design skills with 16/32-bit Microcontroller based design. Experience with I2C, SPI, UART, CAN, USB, RS232/485 Communication Interfaces & Protocol. Excellent understanding of Embedded design life cycle & new product development process. Experience in hands-on development and troubleshooting on embedded targets using test & measurement equipment like Digital Oscilloscope, Protocol Analyzer etc. Knowledge and experience with distributed version control (such as GIT) and continuous integration. Ability to independently lead complex firmware activities and make technical decisions with minimal guidance. Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills. Strong communication and collaboration skills. A willingness to learn. **Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:** Experience of working with global teams. Experience of developing firmware for electric actuators. Knowledge & experience with industrial digital communication protocols (e.g. HART, Modbus, Ethernet, Profibus, Profinet, BLE, LoRaWAN etc.) Familiarity with functional safety standards (e.g. IEC61508). Experience with low-power embedded systems and battery management. Knowledge of electrical safety, EMC, and regulatory compliance standards as applied to embedded systems. Knowledge of Control Loop Theory and Stability. Proficiency with scripting languages (e.g., Python) for test automation. Strong problem solving and debugging skills across both lab and field environments. Experience with STM32 series microcontroller will be advantage. Experience of Unit and Integration testing, performance measurement, Debugging and analysis of the assigned issues, Re-engineering of existing code for reuse with required modifications and associated unit/integration testing. Experience contributing to firmware architecture or reusable platform components is a plus.
