Responsibilities • Design and Develop Traffic Management Solutions: Leading the design, development, and maintenance of solutions to manage network traffic efficiently. • Optimize Network Operations: Improve efficiency through enhanced caching strategies and PoP optimization. • Develop High-Performance Applications: Utilize C/C++ and Go to create robust applications. • Manage Scalability on Kubernetes: Deploy and oversee scalable systems. • Cyber Security and Observability: Implement measures to protect network infrastructure and monitor system health. • Collaborate and Mentor: Work with cross-functional teams to integrate networking solutions and guide junior engineers. • Contribute to Open-Source and Patented Innovation: Lead projects and innovations to keep eBay at the forefront of technology. Qualifications • Education: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related fields. • Experience: At least 8 years in networking, traffic management, and cyber security. • Technical Skills: Proficiency in C/C++ and Go, Low level Linux networking, Kubernetes, and caching strategies. • Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving, analytical, and leadership skills. Preferred Skills • Experience with Envoy for traffic management. • Experience with low level Linux networking and distributed systems. • Contributions to open-source projects. • Relevant certifications and experience in large-scale environments. • Familiarity with Java or other frameworks. • Experience in Agile methodologies and patent creation.
