**Job Description** Test Architect (Quality Engineering) **Job Title:** Test Architect – Quality Engineering **Location:** Bengaluru **Role Overview** We are looking for an experienced **Test Architect – Quality Engineering** to lead and drive quality assurance initiatives across product development teams. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in test automation, continuous testing, performance engineering, and quality engineering practices. This role requires an automation-first mindset and the ability to establish scalable testing frameworks, quality standards, and CI/CD-driven testing strategies. Key Responsibilities - Define and drive the overall Quality Engineering and Test Automation strategy. - Design, develop, and maintain scalable and reusable test automation frameworks. - Ensure quality ownership across the complete Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). - Implement and enhance continuous testing practices within CI/CD pipelines. - Develop and execute automated functional, regression, integration, API, and end-to-end test suites. - Perform performance, load, and scalability testing using tools such as **K6, Locust, or JMeter**. - Collaborate with Product Owners, Developers, Architects, and DevOps teams to ensure quality throughout the development lifecycle. - Review product roadmaps, user stories, and backlogs to identify risks and define testing strategies. - Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve issues across frontend, backend, APIs, databases, and infrastructure. - Define, monitor, and report quality metrics including automation coverage, defect leakage, and test effectiveness. - Mentor and guide engineering teams on quality engineering best practices and automation adoption. - Drive continuous improvement initiatives, QA innovation, and tool optimization. - Support hiring, capability development, and quality governance activities. Mandatory Skills (Deal Breakers) - **Quality Engineering** - **Test Automation Framework Development** - **Cypress** - **Selenium** - **Performance Testing (K6 / Locust / JMeter)** - **CI/CD Integration (Jenkins / GitHub Actions)** - **Agile Methodology** - **API Testing** - **Strong Communication & Stakeholder Management Skills** Required Experience & Skills - 5+ years of experience in Quality Engineering, QA Automation, or Test Architecture roles. - Strong hands-on experience with automation tools such as **Cypress** and **Selenium**. - Proven experience designing and implementing enterprise-grade test automation frameworks. - Expertise in performance testing using **K6, JMeter, or Locust**. - Experience integrating automated testing into CI/CD pipelines using **Jenkins, GitHub Actions**, or similar tools. - Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, SDLC, STLC, and Agile practices. - Experience in API testing and automation. - Hands-on experience with defect tracking and test management tools such as **Jira, X-Ray, and Confluence**. - Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills. - Ability to work effectively in Agile product development environments. - Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Preferred Skills - Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP. - Knowledge of containerization and DevOps practices. - Exposure to microservices-based architecture. - Experience in quality metrics, test strategy creation, and release governance.
