Role & Responsibility : • Lead/assist in business process assessment, re-engineering and transformation initiatives for power utilities/DISCOMs. • Understand existing business processes, identify gaps and inefficiencies, and recommend optimized To-Be processes. • Conduct stakeholder consultations with utility departments to understand business and operational requirements. • Prepare As-Is and To-Be process maps, business process documents, workflows and requirement specifications. • Provide domain expertise for digital transformation initiatives across: • Smart Metering / AMI • MDMS (Meter Data Management System) • Commercial Operations • CRM • ERP • Revenue Management • SCADA / ADMS / OMS • GIS / ArcGIS • Analyse the impact of technology implementation on existing utility processes and recommend appropriate process changes. • Support identification and documentation of functional and business requirements for IT/digital solutions. • Coordinate with DISCOM/business teams, technology teams, system integrators, OEMs and other stakeholders for requirement finalization. • Support preparation and review of RFPs, technical specifications, scope of work, functional requirements and evaluation criteria for utility transformation projects. • Assist in evaluation of technology solutions and assess their alignment with utility business processes and requirements. • Support implementation teams during process transition, system integration, UAT and go-live activities. • Identify process dependencies across billing, metering, revenue, customer service, network operations and other utility functions. • Recommend process standardization and automation opportunities to improve operational efficiency and customer service. • Develop business cases, process improvement recommendations, management presentations and transformation reports. • Monitor implementation progress against defined business requirements and transformation objectives. • Identify implementation risks, process gaps and change-management requirements and recommend mitigation measures. • Support training, knowledge transfer and adoption of transformed processes across utility departments. • Undertake any other business transformation and utility-domain activities assigned by the organization. 4. Educational Qualification Essential: • B.E./B.Tech./M.E./M.Tech. in Engineering, preferably Electrical, Electronics, Computer Science, IT or related discipline; OR • MBA/PGDM in Operations, Business Management, IT, Finance or related discipline with relevant power-sector experience.
