**Role & responsibilities** 1. The Accessioning Officer is responsible for receiving, verifying, registering, labeling, and routing patient specimens for laboratory testing. The role ensures accurate sample accessioning in the Laboratory Management System (LMS), maintains specimen integrity, and supports timely diagnostic reporting while complying with quality and regulatory standards. 2. Understanding of specimen collection, handling, and transport requirements. 3. Turnaround time for sample registration and routing. 4. Preserve sample integrity throughout the accessioning process. 5. Segregate specimens according to department (Biochemistry, Hematology, Microbiology, Histopathology, Molecular Biology, etc.). 6. Follow NABL and internal quality standards. **Preferred candidate profile** - BMLT / B.Sc.+ DMLT (Medical Laboratory Technology) or equivalent. - 13 years of experience in specimen accessioning, sample management, or laboratory operations preferred. - Experience in NABL-accredited diagnostic laboratories is an advantage.
