**Your Role and Responsibilities:** As a QA/Test Developer: Functional/System Verification, you will execute tasks to fully test a service or end-to-end system to ensure it functions according to specifications and client requirements. You will utilize your knowledge of the domain and testing methodologies, tools, and techniques to deliver high-quality solutions. **Your primary responsibilities will include:** **Design Testing Activities:** Develop test cases, scenarios, and use cases to validate service or system functionality, and identify potential issues. **Execute Testing:** Perform functional verification testing or system verification testing to ensure services or systems meet business needs and client requirements. **Investigate Problems:** Recreate problems uncovered during testing, execute fix validations, and provide feedback on usability, serviceability, and documentation. **Report Status:** Inform the appropriate audience of testing progress and results, ensuring transparency and effective communication. **Provide Feedback:** Offer insights on testing outcomes, identifying areas for improvement and opportunities for growth. **Required Education:** Bachelor's Degree **Preferred education** Master's Degree **Required Technical and Professional Expertise:** - Minimum 3+ years of experience in systems or OS role - Strong hands on experience in PL/X and C - Strong debugging skills - Experience with exercising/validation of system from user space, and knowledge of user space API - Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written. - Demonstrated execution experience of Systems project development - Ability to collaborate across disciplines and teams, and work effectively in a global team environment. - Gen AI exposure , usage of AI Tools in testing productivity improvement Domain Knowledge: Exposure to the mainframe, including its core concepts, processes, and technologies. Testing Methodologies: Experience working with various testing methodologies, tools, and techniques to design and execute testing activities. Test Case Development: Exposure to developing test cases, scenarios, and use cases to validate service or system functionality. Problem Investigation: Experience investigating problems uncovered during testing, recreating issues, and executing fix validations. Testing Tools: Familiarity with testing tools and technologies used to support functional verification testing or system verification testing. Familiarity with Testing Frameworks: Exposure to various testing frameworks and technologies used to support functional verification testing or system verification testing. Knowledge of Test Automation: Experience working with test automation tools and techniques to design and execute testing activities. Understanding of Agile Methodologies: Exposure to agile development methodologies and their application in testing environments. **Preferred Technical and Professional Experience:** - Exposure or working experience with z/OS. - Exposure or working experience with zfirmware APIs/HMC. ****Years of Experience:**** 2 - 7
