AGM/DGM - SupremeServ-Plant Operations

Job description

Position: DGM – Chinchwad Plant Operations (SupremeServ) Reporting to: Head – SupremeServ Job Description: The person will be responsible for overall Chinchwad plant operations management with end-to-end accountability for manufacturing, repair operations, warehouse, logistics, planning, and delivery performance. Will be responsible for on-time delivery of spares, mechanical seals and repair jobs to customers through efficient coordination between production, warehouse, and supply chain functions. Will be responsible for complete manufacturing operations, including mechanical seal assembly, parts manufacturing, repair shop activities, and process optimization. Will be responsible for central warehouse operations, including incoming material (GRN), binning, picking, packing, inventory control, logistics, and dispatches. Will be responsible for production planning and material replenishment, ensuring optimal coordination with internal production units and external vendors through MRP and forecasting. Will be responsible for capacity planning, including machines, manpower, and outsourcing decisions based on techno-commercial evaluation. Will be responsible for handling the entire plant operations team, including managers, engineers, staff, and blue-collar/contract workforce. Will be responsible for inventory management, ensuring inventory levels are optimized and working capital is controlled through effective forecasting and planning. Will be responsible for cost control and profitability improvement, including monitoring budgets, reducing operational costs, and improving efficiencies. Will be responsible for plant maintenance and reliability, ensuring minimal downtime and high equipment availability through preventive maintenance systems. Will be responsible for driving digitalization and system improvements, including SAP usage, automation initiatives, and process standardization. Will be responsible for customer satisfaction, including improving OTD, reducing complaints, and enhancing responsiveness. Will be responsible for maintaining healthy industrial relations and ensuring compliance with all statutory, safety, and environmental regulations. Should effectively utilize transporters and logistics partners to ensure timely and cost-efficient deliveries. Should possess strong knowledge of SAP, MRP systems, and warehouse/production processes. Should have handled large teams, including cross-functional teams and multiple reporting managers. Person from pump / rotating equipment / mechanical seals industry is highly desirable. Education: BE (Mechanical) / Production Engineering / Industrial Engineering Preferred: MBA / PG in Operations Management Experience: At least 20–25 years of relevant experience in manufacturing, plant operations, and repairs / maintenance Should have handled large-scale plant operations in a leadership role
