Assistant General Manager - Land Acquisition

Job description

Role & responsibilities • Identify and develop a pipeline of suitable land parcels for Solar, Wind and Hybrid projects. • Conduct preliminary assessment of land availability, ownership, connectivity, access, terrain and project suitability. • Work closely with Business Development, Engineering, Transmission/Connectivity and Project Development teams to evaluate potential sites. • Identify land through direct landowner networks, local consultants, aggregators, brokers and other channels. • Build and maintain a reliable land bank for future projects. • Lead end-to-end land procurement/aggregation activities from initial identification to closure and handover. • Negotiate with landowners, land aggregators and other stakeholders on purchase, lease, development and other commercial arrangements. • Finalize commercial terms while ensuring project viability and minimizing land-related risks. • Coordinate execution of Agreements to Sell, Lease Agreements, Land Development Agreements, POAs and other relevant documents. • Ensure timely registration, mutation, possession and handover of land. • Coordinate detailed title and ownership verification of identified land parcels. • Review revenue records, title documents, mutation records, encumbrances, mortgages, inheritance/succession issues, litigation and other land-related risks. • Liaise with Revenue Department, Tehsil, District Administration, Sub-Registrar offices, local authorities and other government agencies.
