Assistant General Manager - Land and Legacy Issues (Solar & Wind)

Job description

**Role & responsibilities** - Lead resolution of land-related legacy issues across operational and under-construction solar and wind projects. - Review land title documents, ownership records, lease agreements, easement rights, and related legal documentation. - Coordinate with State Revenue Departments, District Administration, Forest Authorities, Local Bodies, and other government agencies for issue resolution. - Work closely with Legal, Project Development, Engineering, Finance, ESG, and Business Development teams on land-related matters. - Develop strategies to mitigate land risks and prevent recurrence of legacy issues. - Support due diligence for land acquisition, leasing, and transfer for new renewable energy projects. - Monitor compliance with land laws, revenue regulations, environmental requirements, and project approvals. - Manage litigation support by coordinating with legal counsel, preparing case briefs, and tracking court matters related to land. - Engage with local communities, landowners, and other stakeholders to facilitate amicable resolution of disputes. - Maintain project-wise MIS, issue trackers, risk registers, and management reports. - Provide periodic updates to senior management on critical land risks and resolution status. - Support audits, lender due diligence, and regulatory inspections related to land documentation.
