It is also authorised to issue Prepaid Instrumen ts.Cashfree Payments is backed by Silicon Valley investor Y Combinator, Apis Partners, Krafton, State Bank of India (SBI), and was incubated by PayPal. **What You Will Do:** 1. **State Government & Regulatory Engagement:** Engage proactively with State Government departments, State Police, Home departments, and local regulatory authorities across multiple states to represent Cashfree's operational and compliance interests — with primary focus on Karnataka, with working knowledge of neighbouring states. 2. **Field Engagement & On-Ground Presence:** Undertake regular field visits (approximately 50% of working time) court premises, banking institutions, and government departments, building in-person relationships and resolving operational matters that require direct physical engagement and follow-through. 3. **Policy Notes & Internal Briefings:** Prepare clear, well-structured internal notes, situation reports, escalation memos, and briefing documents on state-level regulatory developments, and emerging compliance risks, enabling leadership to make informed decisions on ground-level matters. 4. **Fintech & Payments Regulatory Understanding:** Demonstrate working knowledge of India's payments regulatory framework, including RBI's PA/PG guidelines, PMLA obligations, cyber fraud regulatory directions (MHA/I4C), 5. **Relationship Building with Cyber Crime & Fraud Ecosystem:** Develop and maintain relationships with key officials in State Cyber Crime departments, CERT-In, I4C, and banking fraud control units, positioning Cashfree as a cooperative, transparent, and proactive industry partner in India's fight against digital payment fraud. 6. **Prior Experience Requirement:** 3–7 years of experience in government liaison, regulatory affairs, legal operations, or compliance roles, with demonstrated prior experience of working with Cyber Crime cells, or banking compliance functions.
