Assistant Vice President - Legal

Job description

This position will be responsible for leading and managing the Company’s litigation portfolio and all critical matters across courts, tribunals, consumer forums, law enforcement agencies and other judicial/quasi-judicial authorities. The role will provide strategic legal advice on contentious matters, protect the Company’s interests, drive effective litigation outcomes, and ensure robust governance, oversight and cost management across the litigation portfolio across the Supreme Court, High Courts, District Courts, Consumer Commissions, Ombudsman offices and other judicial/quasi-judicial forums. The incumbent will work closely with business, claims, underwriting, operations, investigations, compliance and other stakeholders to proactively identify legal risks, formulate litigation strategy and reduce recurrence of disputes.
