The Role Our client is seeking an AVP, KYC Advisory in the Banking division. This role offers an exciting opportunity to join a global team, providing top-tier service to existing and prospective clients while expanding the business on a product and global level. Job Description: Purpose of Role Support high standards of financial crime compliance framework within first line of defense through the ongoing delivery of an organized and structured program. Communicate, coordinate and monitor policies, systems and procedures, provide relevant and timely advisories for the KYC AML unit at the Bank’s global capability centre and business line within the Bank. Main Responsibilities: Strategic • Assist Head of KYC AML Unit at the Bank in promoting and managing the culture and practice of Compliance within regulatory requirements and ethical standards consistent with supporting Bank’s strategic direction and growth aspirations • Develop balanced solutions to support first line of defense while ensuring that key compliance risks and regulatory requirements are addressed. • To provide support on Global/Regional Projects Customer • Develop and maintain strong stakeholder management with key stakeholders both within the Bank and it’s global capability center. • Work in partnership with various Departments to ensure compliance with local regulations. • Maintain good and professional relations with RBI & other Statutory or Regulatory authorities, either during Inspection or BAU process • Assessment and Management Information, process reviews, rollout of policies and training. • Keep pace with new and upcoming regulatory requirements, directives, expectations and priorities. • To maintain connect with Industry Peers to facilitate better advocacy on important regulatory matters • To ensure Collaborative engagement meetings and actions in timely manner. • To ensure proactive monitoring of issues and escalations thereof in order to strengthen the First Line of Defense. • Manage thematic reviews, compliance testing, internal audits and responses and follow-ups. • Develop and deliver ad-hoc live training sessions / programs as needed. • Ensure timely and accurate reporting is made to HO or Regional Stakeholders • Ensure timely identification, escalation and remediation of issues by driving a no-surprises culture and ensuring comprehensive and timely actions plans with a focus on immediate control of issues and sustainability • Promote simplification and advance a culture of continuous improvement by creating efficiencies through streamlining of processes, technology initiatives and reducing complexities where possible People • Demonstrate high levels of professionalism in the course of work, respecting the diversity of our fellow colleagues and foster a strong spirit of teamwork. • Be resilient and challenge the status quo to support transformation and innovation • Connect beyond your team and leverage our global strength as One. Candidate Profile: Education & Professional Qualifications • Experienced professional with 8-12 years of banking experience, preferably in KYC operations. ACAMS certified would be an added advantage. Skills & Knowledge: (e.g. Capability, Traits required for the role) • Good stakeholder management skills to collaborate with other departments. • Strong knowledge of KYC operations. • Good communication skills. • Process oriented coupled with a strong ability to develop appropriate program enhancing strategies. • Strong PC skills (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
