**Job Title:** Business Analyst **Department** : RETO SSC **About Business Line/Function** The Business Analysts chapter is a part of the JUMP Tribe within RETO SSC Entity. Business analyst is working transversally with the different squads or projects. At the moment the main focus is on agile way of working in squads and maximizing the creation of customer and employee value realized by the Tribe. Business analysts analyze requirements coming from stakeholders iteratively and incrementally, ensuring traceability, transparency, and alignment with business objectives. Business needs are captured in the form of epics and user stories and maintained in a prioritized product backlog. **Position Purpose** The role will report to the Business Analysis Chapter Lead and will be primarily responsible for turning business goals and requirements into technical solution design and clear user stories, catching and aligning the gaps in both: business requirements and technical design. The position requires working in a virtual team and international environment and is multidisciplinary in nature. It involves coordination with other locations and squads within or out of the Tribe as necessary. It is important that the candidate should have strong technical background along with insurance or financial domain knowledge, high analytical skills and attention to details. **Responsibilities** Direct Responsibilities - Able to understand and elicit on the business requirements - Translate business requirements into scalable, technically compatible solutions that fulfill business objectives - Able to create detailed analysis per each user story - Able to create and maintain overall technical and business specifications - Support daily run activities and incidents in CEE region (CZ,SK,AT,HU,RO,BG), participate in green-field solutions or maintenance projects for whole CE (for e.g. DE or IBERIA countries) - Able to help Product owners with JIRA backlog items, user stories and epic dependencies and quarter annual planning preparations - Finding root cause of production incidents or other bugs - Creating API definitions in collaboration with architects - Effective communication across multiple teams and squads and other stakeholders - Ability to translate business requirements and work with development teams throughout resolution, implementation and delivery - Resolve adhoc tasks from line manager - Creativity in finding alternative solutions (change current processes to what system already allows) Contributing Responsibilities - Create functional and nonfunctional specifications, root cause analysis - Have a good understanding of the data flows and understand of business processes - Identify gaps in business requirements and technical solutions - Share mutual understanding of implemented features and business goals across the squads - Provide iterative and collaborative work - Respect SLAs and committed workload - Respect existing operating model that unleashes the value we offer to our customers - Respect Target architecture when designing the technical solution **Technical & Behavioral Competencies** - Able to work with other squads and chapters - Participation in one or more project activities/areas or releases or production support or testing of functionalities. Overall participation in the whole development cycle - Understanding of existing SQL logics, including stored procedures and functions, performing impact analysis on database object - Becoming a specialist on application with heavy DB logic of view as well as knowledge base on the application business processes - Splitting business requirements into clear user stories with defining testable acceptance criteria - Creating analytical documentation on confluence, including BPMN, UML, screen flows, assets descriptions, etc. - Providing impact analysis and providing work estimations - Good working knowledge of tools such as Camunda, Confluence, JIRA, EA, MS SQL **Specific Qualifications** - Minimum 3 years of experience working as an Business analyst/ IT analyst/ Systems analyst along with Bachelor's Degree - in computer science, economics, related field or equivalent experience. - Prior experience in similar domain. **Technical Skills** **Skills Referential** **(** **Required knowledge, skills and abilities)** - SQL and data structures - API/microservice architecture knowledge - UML, BPMN, Plant UML - Camunda (advantage) - GITLab (advantage) - Understanding of message queues, asynchronous processing (advantage) **Behavioral Skills** - Analytical Ability - Team Player - Communication **Education Level:** Bachelor Degree or equivalent **Location:** Chennai **About BNP Paribas Group** BNP Paribas is the European Union’s leading bank and key player in international banking.
