Job description

**Role Purpose** The Business Development Manager will be responsible for driving business growth, sales governance, productivity, and portfolio performance across Commercial Banking products including MSME LAP, Working Capital, Supply Chain Finance, and Machinery Loans. The role will act as a key bridge between Business Leadership, Sales Teams, Credit, Product, Policy and Operations to ensure achievement of growth, profitability, and portfolio quality objectives. **Key Responsibilities** **Business Planning & Growth** - Support the President Business Head in formulating business and growth plans. - Drive portfolio growth across MSME LAP, Working Capital, Supply Chain Finance, and Machinery Finance products. - Monitor business performance against budgets and growth targets. - Identify growth opportunities and recommend corrective actions to improve business outcomes. **Sales Performance Management** - Drive achievement of business disbursement, revenue, and profitability targets. - Conduct periodic reviews with Zonal and field sales teams. - Monitor sales funnel metrics including lead generation, login, sanction,disbursement, and conversion ratios. - Ensure productivity enhancement across sales channels and geographies. **KRA & Target Management** - Design and implement KRAs and scorecards for sales teams. - Drive target allocation, tracking, and performance reviews. - Monitor individual, regional, and product-wise productivity metrics. - Support performance evaluation and incentive tracking. **Portfolio & Collections Governance** - Monitor portfolio quality, delinquency trends, and collection efficiency. - Conduct regular reviews with frontline team teams to drive portfolio health. - Coordinate with Product, Risk and Credit teams to ensure sustainable portfolio growth. **MIS & Business Analytics** - Develop and review business MIS dashboards. - Track key performance indicators including disbursements, sanctions, productivity, yield, portfolio quality, collections, liabilities CASA - Present actionable insights and management reports to senior leadership. - Drive data-based decision-making across the business. **Invoice & Vendor Management** - Manage vendor invoices related to sourcing channels, agencies, technology partners, and business operations. - Ensure timely verification, approvals, and processing of invoices. - Monitor budget utilization and cost efficiency. **Stakeholder Management** - Collaborate with Credit, Operations, Product, Risk, Collections, Finance, and Technology teams for seamless execution. - Drive issue resolution and process improvements across business functions. - Facilitate regular business review meetings and leadership updates. **Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)** - Business disbursement achievement - Portfolio growth and profitability - Productivity per sales resource - Login-to-sanction and sanction-to-disbursement conversion ratios - Collection efficiency and portfolio quality metrics - KRA and target achievement across teams - Turnaround time improvements - Accuracy and timeliness of MIS and management reporting - Cost and invoice management efficiency **Desired Candidate Profile** **Experience** - 3–6 years of experience in Commercial Banking, MSME Banking, Business Banking, or NBFC lending. - Experience in sales management, business analytics, portfolio management, and stakeholder coordination. **Skills** - Business planning and performance management - Sales governance and productivity management - Strong analytical and MIS capabilities - Portfolio monitoring and collections understanding - Excellent communication and stakeholder management - Leadership and team management skills - Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and business reporting tools **Educational Qualification** - MBA / PGDM (Finance, Marketing, Banking) preferred. **Team Structure** - Directly manages a team of 2 members and works closely with Sales Team, Credit, Product, Policy Operations, Collections and Finance teams.
