Meet the Team People Legal is part of Cisco’s global Legal organization, with 450+ Legal and Compliance professionals working together to support the business, navigate complex challenges, and enable transformation. The team serves as a trusted advisor to Cisco, leveraging technology, AI, networking, and collaboration tools to enable efficient and flexible ways of working while also supporting community and pro bono initiatives. The Employment Legal team supports employment-related legal matters across multiple regions and jurisdictions, partnering closely with business and People & Communities stakeholders to manage matters effectively and enable strong legal operations. Your Impact As a Business Operations Analyst supporting Employment Legal, you will provide critical operational, analytical, and administrative support to legal counsel in London and Sydney, managing employment-related matters across EMEA and APJC. You will play an important role in managing case portfolios, tracking legal metrics, supporting litigation and legal hold activities, coordinating information across stakeholders, monitoring outside counsel spend, and improving legal processes and workflows. This role provides an opportunity to gain exposure to complex, international employment law matters while working within a dynamic, multi-jurisdictional corporate environment. You Will • Support the management of employment-related legal claims and investigations from inception through resolution, including organizing case files, tracking deadlines, and maintaining accurate documentation. • Maintain and update systems for case metrics and data tracking, analyze trends, and prepare regular reporting to support strategy and planning. • Support litigation and legal hold processes, ensuring compliance with discovery obligations and coordinating with stakeholders to identify and preserve relevant information. • Partner with internal stakeholders across People & Communities, Sales, Business Operations, Finance, and other functions to gather information and documentation relevant to claims, investigations, and letters of demand. • Support outside counsel management, including tracking legal spend, reviewing invoices, coordinating with counsel, and monitoring adherence to budget guidelines. • Organize, review, and prepare legal documents, correspondence, reports, and case records, ensuring information is accurate, current, and easily accessible. • Provide business operations and administrative support, including calendar management, meeting coordination, scheduling, and other activities supporting the People Legal team. • Identify opportunities to simplify, improve, and automate legal processes and workflows. • Explore opportunities to use AI and automation to improve case management, reporting, documentation, and operational efficiency. • Maintain a high level of confidentiality, accuracy, and attention to detail when handling sensitive legal information. Who You’ll Work With You will collaborate closely with Employment Legal counsel, People & Communities, Legal Operations, Sales, Business Operations, Finance, outside counsel, and other internal stakeholders across the EMEA and APJC regions. You will work particularly closely with legal counsel based in London and Sydney, supporting the management of regional employment matters and related legal operations. Who You Are You are a highly organized, detail-oriented, proactive, and resourceful professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and managing multiple priorities. You are comfortable working with confidential information, tracking complex matters and deadlines, analyzing data, and coordinating across multiple stakeholders. You have strong communication and problem-solving skills and can work independently while knowing when to escalate issues appropriately. You are also comfortable adopting new technologies and have an interest in using AI, automation, and digital tools to make processes simpler and more efficient. Minimum Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 7 years of relevant professional experience. • Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail. • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to effectively engage with internal and external stakeholders. • Proficiency with SaaS applications, business systems, and collaboration tools. • Ability to work independently, prioritize competing tasks, and manage multiple deadlines in a dynamic environment. • Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive and solutions-oriented approach. • Ability to manage sensitive and confidential information with appropriate discretion. Preferred Qualifications • Familiarity with legal hold procedures and e-discovery principles. • Experience in legal case management, including organizing and tracking claims, investigations, deadlines, and case data. • Experience supporting legal, employment, compliance, or business operations teams. • Prior paralegal or legal operations experience. • Experience supporting legal matters across multiple jurisdictions, particularly EMEA and APJC. • Willingness and ability to use AI and automation to build or manage workflows and improve operational efficiency. • Experience with legal spend tracking, outside counsel coordination, reporting, or document management is a plus.
