Amazon Logistics India (IN AMZL) is looking for a driven and analytical professional to join the Short Term Capacity Planning team. This role sits at the intersection of operations, data analytics, and strategic planning — responsible for ensuring the right capacity is available across VAN and BIKE service networks to meet customer promise while optimizing cost-to-serve.The Short Term Capacity Planner will own near-term capacity planning across DSP, Hubs, AMFLEX, and emerging channels, ensuring delivery sufficiency across all zones and stations in India.Key ResponsibilitiesCapacity Planning & ForecastingOwn weekly and daily capacity plans across all channels (DSP, hubs, AMFLEX, and emerging) for the India networkDevelop and maintain short-term (D-1, D-7) capacity plans aligned with volume forecastsBuild cycle-level volume predictions and translate them into actionable block and route plansLead capacity planning for High Volume Events (HVEs) including Prime Day, ART events, and peak seasons, ensuring cost and capacity sufficiencyPerformance Monitoring & AnalyticsTrack and analyze key capacity metrics including DPPH (Deliveries Per Productive Hour), assignment compliance, block mix, and ROBL (Return-on-Business-Load) across zonesConduct Daily Business Reviews (DBR), Weekly Business Reviews (WBR), and Monthly Business Reviews (MBR) with actionable insightsIdentify capacity gaps, over/under-supply situations, and recommend corrective actions proactivelyBlock Mix & Cost OptimizationOptimize block mix across VAN and BIKE channels to reduce cost-to-serve while maintaining service levelsManage DSP, eDSP, and pickup pricing strategies to eliminate defects and improve productivityDrive initiatives to improve assignment compliance and reduce unplanned shipmentsCross-functional CollaborationPartner with Routing, Supply Planning, and Operations teams to align capacity inputs with routing configurations and station-level constraintsCollaborate with BI and tech teams to build scalable planning tools, dashboards, and automated reportingWork with regional and global AMZL teams (NA, EU) for benchmarking and adoption of best practicesProcess Improvement & GovernanceDevelop and maintain SOPs, planning frameworks, and governance mechanisms for capacity decisionsLead automation initiatives such as auto-cap approval workflows and CTO-based capacity enrichmentDrive standardization of planning processes across stations and zones
