CFD Engineer- Aerospace Battery Thermal Management

Job description

Build STAR-CCM+ models, simulate Thermal Runaway heat release and gas venting, run transient interface CHT and verify CFRP and aluminum safety margins. Evaluate in-flight and ground airflow, cold-day temperature drop risk, series serpentine cooling loops, and PDU heat sink and fan sizing. Deliver trade studies and design recommendations.Qualifications:bachelor’s or master’s in mechanical or aerospace,5 to 12 years experience.Strong STAR-CCM+ with transient CHT, battery thermal management, and thermal runaway exposure.Preferred: Aircraft battery systems, PDU or electronics cooling, fan curve matching, certification support, and test correlation Roles and Responsibilities Position Overview You’d lead CFD and transient CHT analyses for battery thermal management, including thermal runaway venting, aerothermal assessments, liquid loop pull-down and warm-up, and electronics cooling
