Job Description Trainee Executive, Chiller System Design Position: Trainee Executive Employment Type: FTE Department: Chiller System Design – R&D Location: Wada Experience: 1–2 Years Qualification: Diploma / Degree in Mechanical Engineering Role Purpose We are looking for a Mechanical Engineering professional to support the R&D team in the development of new air-cooled chiller products and product enhancement projects. The role will involve prototype development, material planning, testing, BOM and engineering documentation, supplier coordination, and coordination with R&D, Production, Quality, Purchase and Supply Chain teams. Key Responsibilities • Support the R&D team in new product development (NPD) and product enhancement projects. • Assist in prototype development, assembly, troubleshooting and testing of air-cooled chiller systems. • Prepare, maintain and update BOMs (Bill of Materials). • Ensure accuracy and completeness of BOMs and engineering documentation. • Coordinate with R&D engineers for identification and procurement of components required for prototype development and testing. • Monitor material availability and ensure timely availability of development and production materials. • Prepare and maintain test reports and validation documentation. • Coordinate with R&D, Purchase, Production, Quality and Supply Chain teams. • Support engineering changes and smooth implementation of development activities. Required Technical Skills • Basic understanding of HVAC and Refrigeration systems. • Basic knowledge of Refrigeration Cycle. • Knowledge of Air-Cooled Chillers is preferred. • Knowledge of VFD applications is desirable. • Ability to read and interpret Engineering Drawings, Specifications and BOMs. • Basic knowledge of SAP/ERP/PLM processes. • Good working knowledge of MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint. • Strong analytical, organizational and communication skills. Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate should be from a Mechanical Engineering background, preferably with experience in HVAC / Refrigeration / Chiller / R&D / New Product Development / Prototype Development. Candidates with hands-on exposure to BOM, prototype assembly, testing, troubleshooting and cross-functional coordination will be preferred. Key Screening Criteria Must Have: • Mechanical Diploma / Degree • 1–2 years of relevant experience • HVAC / Refrigeration knowledge • Chiller exposure • BOM / Engineering Documentation • Prototype / Testing exposure • Good Excel skills Good to Have: • Air-Cooled Chiller experience • SAP / ERP / PLM • VFD knowledge • R&D / NPD experience • Productionization experience
