Job Title:CMOD Support Position: Senior software engineer Experience: 6-9 Years Category: Support Engineering Main location: Chennai/Bangalore. Employment Type: Full Time Role Summary: We are looking for an experienced IBM Content Manager OnDemand (CMOD) Support Engineer to provide L2/L3 production support for enterprise document archiving and retrieval applications. The candidate will be responsible for incident management, system monitoring, performance tuning, troubleshooting, user support, and ensuring high availability of the CMOD environment. Experience in Banking or Financial Services is highly preferred. Your future duties and responsibilities - Provide L2/L3 production support for IBM Content Manager OnDemand (CMOD) environments. - Monitor application health, storage utilization, archive processing, and system performance. - Investigate and resolve production incidents, service requests, and problem tickets within SLA. - Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and implement preventive measures for recurring issues. - Support document ingestion, indexing, retrieval, report distribution, and archival processes. - Troubleshoot archive loading failures, database issues, storage migration, and retrieval performance problems. - Coordinate with infrastructure, database, network, and application teams during incidents. - Perform application deployments, configuration updates, and environment validations. - Support backup, recovery, disaster recovery (DR), and business continuity activities. - Monitor batch jobs and automation tools such as Autosys or Control M. - Maintain operational documentation, SOPs, knowledge articles, and runbooks. - Participate in weekend maintenance, and production releases. **Required Qualifications To Be Successful In This Role** Strong experience with IBM Content Manager OnDemand (CMOD). - Good understanding of: Report Archiving Document Storage and Retrieval Application Groups Storage Sets Cache Management Indexing Load Processes - Experience with: IBM DB2, Oracle, or SQL Server Linux/Unix and Windows administration Shell scripting File transfer protocols (SFTP, FTP) - Knowledge of: Content management and document lifecycle concepts Monitoring tools such as Splunk, Dynatrace, or DataDog ITSM tools such as ServiceNow Version control tools (Git) **Preferred Skills** - Banking, Financial Services, or Insurance domain experience. - Knowledge of Enterprise Content Management (ECM), or document management solutions. - Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or OpenShift) is an added advantage. - Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions). Soft Skills - Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills. - Excellent verbal and written communication. - Strong stakeholder management and customer facing skills. - Ability to work independently and collaboratively in Agile teams. Responsibilities in Production Support - Incident, Problem, and Change Management. - SLA adherence and ticket resolution. - Production monitoring and health checks. - Capacity planning and performance optimization. - Root Cause Analysis (RCA). - Documentation and Knowledge Management. - Release and deployment support. - On call and weekend support. **Qualifications** - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. - IBM CMOD or ECM related certifications are desirable.
