Job description

**Role:- Commercial Underwriter (SME Segment)** **Experience:** 5 to 7 Years **Location:** Mumbai **Education:** MBA (Mandatory) **Role & Responsibilities** - Prepare product policy wordings, underwriting guidelines, rating structures, schedules, and documents required for IRDA product filings. - Coordinate closely with Marketing, Claims, and Actuarial teams to finalize underwriting guidelines. - Collaborate with Technology teams for system maintenance and new requirement implementation. - Conduct product development and market research based on customer and market needs. - Maintain regular interactions with brokers and intermediaries. - Develop robust monitoring systems for underwriting control. - Analyze the performance of general insurance products and take proactive corrective actions. - Prepare periodic reports for the Management Committee related to product portfolio performance. - Ensure timely and quality responses, adhering to TAT for quote submissions. - Provide technical leadership, direction, and support to Sales and Underwriting teams. - Develop initiatives to manage and improve loss ratios. - Create tools and dashboards to monitor KPIs and product performance. **Preferred Candidate Requirements** - Handson experience in handling the **SME segment** within **SME Commercial Business**. - Strong knowledge of **SME insurance products**. - Solid experience in **Commercial Underwriting**. - Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholdermanagement skills. - Ability to work crossfunctionally with various internal teams.
