Rapido · Mumbai, Maharashtra, India
About the Company Founded in 2015, Rapido is India’s leading multi-modal mobility platform. What began with bike taxis has rapidly evolved to include auto-rickshaws, cab-hailing, and peer-to-peer deliveries. Today, Rapido commands a dominant 70% market share in bike taxis, 40% in auto rides, and holds the second-largest position in the cab segment with a 22% share—establishing us as the overall market leader in ride-hailing. With over 4+ million rides completed daily and more than 2 billion rides served to date, Rapido operates in 200+ cities and is aggressively expanding toward a presence in 500 cities. In 2024, we proudly achieved unicorn status with a valuation of $1.1 billion. Driven by technology and innovation, we’re expanding into new categories while remaining committed to improving last-mile connectivity and empowering livelihoods at scale. We are not an option; we are a choice! About the Role We are looking for an Engagement Manager to own two high-visibility mandates: flawless on-ground execution at the city's most demanding mobility touchpoints — airports, railway stations, and other transit hubs — and the development of a strong external partnerships portfolio spanning corporates, branding opportunities, and events. This is a role for someone who is equally comfortable standing at an airport pickup zone at 6 AM solving a queue problem and sitting across a corporate admin head negotiating an employee transport tie-up. Responsibilities Transit Hub Operations • Own end-to-end execution and daily operations at designated transit hubs (airport, major railway stations, intercity bus terminals), including pickup zone management, captain queuing and discipline, signage, and passenger experience. • Liaise with hub authorities (airport operators, railway administration, traffic police, municipal bodies) for access permissions, parking/staging arrangements, and compliance requirements. • Monitor supply availability, wait times, and service quality metrics at each hub; identify gaps and run targeted interventions (captain onboarding drives, incentive alignment, roster planning for peak arrival windows). • Manage on-ground staff and vendor teams deployed at hubs; set SOPs, conduct audits, and ensure consistent execution standards. • Handle escalations — passenger complaints, captain disputes, authority-raised issues — with speed and sound judgment. Partnerships, Corporates & Events • Identify, pitch, and close partnerships with corporates for employee commute programs, offers, and co-branded initiatives. • Build and maintain a pipeline of branding and visibility opportunities — event sponsorships, venue tie-ups, activation campaigns — and manage them from negotiation through execution. • Own the relationship lifecycle: contracting, onboarding, performance reviews, renewals, and expansion of existing partner accounts. • Coordinate cross-functionally with marketing, supply, and city operations teams to deliver on partnership commitments. • Track partnership ROI — ride volumes, brand impressions, acquisition cost — and report outcomes to leadership. Qualifications • 3–6 years of experience in operations, business development, or account management; exposure to mobility, logistics, quick commerce, hospitality, or event management is a strong plus. • Demonstrated ability to manage on-ground operations with multiple stakeholders — vendors, government/authority bodies, and internal teams. • Strong commercial instinct: comfortable with pitching, negotiating, and structuring partnership deals. • Data orientation — able to track operational and partnership metrics, spot problems in numbers, and act on them. • Excellent communication in English and Hindi; Marathi proficiency is an advantage. • High ownership, comfort with ambiguity, and willingness to be on the ground — early mornings, late nights, and weekends when the situation demands. Required Skills • Prior experience working with airport/railway authorities or managing operations at transit locations. • An existing network of corporate admin/facility or event management contacts in the city. • Experience managing third-party manpower vendors. Preferred Skills • Prior experience working with airport/railway authorities or managing operations at transit locations. • An existing network of corporate admin/facility or event management contacts in the city. • Experience managing third-party manpower vendors.
