Combining intuitive products with a customer-centric approach and a wide selection of flights and hotels, Cleartrip brings a unique selling point to market, offering convenience, choice, competitive prices, and exclusive content to its customers. **Role Description:** As an Engineering Manager with Cleartrip, you will be leading a team of engineers across levels and driving the technology vision for the team working on a spectrum of products and platforms that power the Cleartrip Platform. You will be responsible for end to end ownership of software development, for scalability and quality of the solutions and for active grooming and mentoring of the team you lead. This is an important, high ownership and strategic role within the company, and our expectations are equally high. On a day to day basis, you will be responsible for evangelising ideas, providing technical direction and building high quality and low latency platforms while building and leading a high performance engineering team. You will collaborate with product and business stakeholders to deliver innovative solutions to complex problems with speed, quality and agility. You will also focus on building a strong team culture, fostering accountability and responsiveness, and provide mentorship and career development to the team. **Roles & Responsibilities (What you’ll do):** - Build, lead, develop and provide hands-on leadership for top-notch engineers and leads. - Create clear career paths for team members to help them grow with regular and deep mentoring, - Attract and retain top talent keeping long term goals in mind - Drive strategy and vision across teams in a rapidly evolving environment - Work closely with diverse stakeholders and enable them by providing scalable and quality - technology solutions. - Facilitate platforms solutions that span beyond the team and across the ecosystem - Take accountability for moving the key business metrics within your area and Provide thought - partnership to the product team and ensure collaboration among product, engineering, and - business operation teams. - Drive agility in execution, create a strong team culture of responsiveness by leading by example - and own decision making around prioritization for better predictability - You need to proactively set clear expectations and career paths to the team with active mentoring and grooming to ensure retention of top talent. - You will be the coach and the captain. **Skills Required (What you’ll need):** - B.Tech, M.tech or any other similar qualification with at least 10+ years of experience in building cutting edge products with 2+ years in people management - Good understanding of technology and architecture in a highly scalable and available setup - Strong experience handling large data (batch and real-time), workflows and scheduling, building - pluggable frameworks and systems, strong abstraction, and design skills. - Proven track record of delivering products with high quality, familiarity with multiple software - development practices and tools - Strong partnership with product and business teams that demonstrates effective collaboration - and communication across multiple stakeholders - Exposure to different design & architecture patterns as we build systems in SOA. Exposure to - batch processing & near real time pipelines to transition data between multiple systems. - Domain experience in travel is good to have
