Key Responsibilities : • Deliver engaging and structured lectures covering relevant BCTVS/cardiovascular technology subjects. • Prepare lesson plans, presentations, study material, assignments and other academic resources. • Conduct practical demonstrations and facilitate hands-on learning. • Train students in relevant cardiovascular diagnostic and clinical procedures, as applicable to the curriculum. • Provide academic guidance and mentorship to students. • Conduct internal assessments, tests, viva, practical examinations and evaluate student performance. • Coordinate with hospitals/clinical departments for practical exposure and clinical postings. • Monitor students' clinical learning, attendance, discipline and overall academic progress. • Maintain student records, assessment reports, attendance and other academic documentation. • Incorporate case studies, clinical examples and industry practices into classroom teaching. • Ensure students understand patient safety, infection control, professional ethics and clinical protocols. • Participate in curriculum development, academic meetings, seminars, workshops and student activities. • Support students in projects, research assignments, presentations and internships. • Supervise students during clinical postings, • Guide students in research projects, dissertations, case studies, and academic projects where applicable. • Participate in admission, orientation, induction, and student counseling activities as assigned by the institution. • Participate in curriculum development, academic meetings, and institutional activities, and organize or participate in guest lectures, conferences, workshops, webinars, seminars, and other academic initiatives. • Stay updated with developments in cardiovascular technology, equipment and clinical practices. • Ensure compliance with institutional academic policies and quality standards. Education: • Master's degree / Bachelor's degree in Cardiovascular Technology, Cardiac Care Technology, Cardiothoracic & Vascular Sciences, or a relevant Allied Health Sciences discipline, as applicable to institutional/university norms. • Relevant teaching qualification or postgraduate qualification will be preferred. Experience: • 25 years of relevant teaching and/or clinical experience in cardiovascular/cardiac care technology. • Candidates with strong hospital-based clinical experience and teaching aptitude may also be considered.
