Key Roles and Responsibilities: • Conduct lectures and practical sessions for MLT students as per the prescribed curriculum. • Teach subjects related to Clinical Biochemistry, Haematology, Microbiology, Pathology, Immunology, Blood Banking/Transfusion Medicine and other relevant areas. • Demonstrate laboratory procedures, techniques, equipment handling, and safety protocols. • Prepare lesson plans, teaching materials, presentations, practical manuals, and assessments. • Conduct internal examinations, practical assessments, viva, assignments, and student evaluations. • Monitor student attendance, academic performance, and practical competency. • Mentor and guide students in academic and professional development. • Coordinate with hospital laboratories for clinical postings, internships, and practical exposure. • Ensure compliance with laboratory safety, infection control, and quality standards during practical sessions. • Maintain academic records, practical logs, attendance, and examination documentation. • Supervise students during clinical laboratory postings, ensuring proper rotation through relevant departments such as Biochemistry, Hematology, Microbiology, Pathology, and Blood Bank. • Guide students in research projects, dissertations, case studies, and academic projects where applicable. • Participate in admission, orientation, induction, and student counseling activities as assigned by the institution. • Participate in curriculum development, academic meetings, and institutional activities, and organize or participate in guest lectures, conferences, workshops, webinars, seminars, laboratory demonstrations, and other academic initiatives. • Stay updated with advancements in medical laboratory technology and incorporate relevant developments into teaching. Experience & Qualifications: • Bachelor or Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology required. (Bachelors degree in Medical Laboratory Technology (B.Sc. MLT) or an equivalent relevant qualification is required for teaching B.Sc. MLT students. • Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience in the field, preferably with at least 2 to 3 years of hands-on teaching experience in the educational industry. • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to create effective learning environments and develop innovative instructional methods. • Proficient skills in using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of students. • Strong hands-on experience in MS Office including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. • Comprehensive knowledge of the information and skills needed to train students in Medical Laboratory Technology. • Strong work ethic with a flexible and positive attitude. • Proficiency in English and Hindi.
