Job description

Teaching and Facilitation • Deliver approximately 400 teaching/facilitation hours per year, depending on the programme mix and other academic responsibilities, across PDA, Planning Capability programmes, SCDMs, Master Classes, IC-specific programmes and other IPM initiatives. • Facilitate classroom, virtual and blended learning programmes. • Use L&T and industry project examples to connect concepts with actual project situations. • Coach and mentor participants and support application of learning to their projects wherever relevant. Content and Learning Development • Design, develop and continuously improve learning content, case studies, project exercises, simulations, assessments, tools and checklists related to Planning & Scheduling. • Incorporate contemporary project management practices, digital technologies and relevant L&T practices and lessons from projects into programmes. • Develop new learning interventions in response to emerging business and project capability needs. • Contribute to documenting project experiences and converting them into reusable learning material. Business and Stakeholder Engagement • Work with IC/SBG HR teams, Planning Heads, Project Directors, Project Managers, academic partners, Professors of Practice (PoPs), Associate Professors of Practice (APoPs), SMEs and other stakeholders. • Engage with project teams and business leaders to understand emerging capability requirements. • Visit projects, where required, to understand planning practices, execution challenges and learning needs. Programme and Institutional Contribution • Support the academic planning and delivery of PDA and other IPM programmes. • Work with Programme Coordinators and IPM teams for effective programme delivery. • Review participant feedback, assessments and programme outcomes and use them to improve content and delivery. • Contribute to IPM's knowledge repository, case studies, publications and thought-leadership activities. • Support IPM events, project-management forums and institutional initiatives. • Contribute to digital learning and responsible adoption of AI and technology-enabled learning tools where relevant. Domain Expertise The Candidate Should Have Strong Knowledge And Practical Experience In Several Of The Following Areas, With Planning & Scheduling And Project Controls As The Core Requirement • Project Planning & Scheduling • Primavera P6 and/or comparable enterprise planning systems • Development of integrated EPC schedules • Work Breakdown Structures, milestones and schedule logic • Project Controls • Engineering, procurement and construction interface planning • Resource Planning and Optimisation • Progress Measurement, Monitoring and Control • Look-ahead planning and constraint management • Delay Analysis and Schedule Recovery • Earned Value Management • Project Risk Management • Construction Planning • Schedule forecasting, reporting and management decision support • Planning for commissioning, completion and project close-out Travel Requirement • The role requires travel to IPM locations, L&T businesses and project sites as required for programme delivery, project engagement and capability-development initiatives.
