Job Summary We are looking for a detail-oriented Payroll Assistant to support the end-to-end payroll process, ensuring accurate and timely salary processing, attendance and leave reconciliation, statutory compliance, and employee payroll-related queries. Key Responsibilities • Assist in monthly payroll processing and salary calculations. • Verify attendance, leave, overtime, incentives, deductions, and other payroll inputs. • Maintain and reconcile payroll records and employee salary data. • Coordinate with HR and Accounts teams for payroll-related inputs and corrections. • Assist with PF, ESIC, PT, TDS, and other statutory payroll compliances. • Support preparation and submission of statutory returns within applicable timelines. • Handle employee queries related to salary, payslips, deductions, PF, ESIC, and taxation. • Ensure accurate employee master data and payroll records in HRMS/payroll software. • Prepare payroll reports, salary statements, variance reports, and other MIS as required. • Assist in full & final settlement calculations for exiting employees. • Identify payroll discrepancies and coordinate with relevant stakeholders for resolution. • Maintain confidentiality of employee compensation and personal information. • Support payroll audits and provide required payroll documentation. Required Skills & Qualifications • Graduate in Commerce, HR, Finance, or a related field. • 1–3 years of experience in payroll processing or HR operations. • Good understanding of PF, ESIC, Professional Tax, TDS, and statutory compliance. • Working knowledge of MS Excel, including VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, SUMIF/SUMIFS, Pivot Tables, and basic data reconciliation. • Experience with any HRMS/payroll software is preferred. • Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy. • Good communication and coordination skills. • Ability to maintain confidentiality and work with sensitive employee data. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
